Love him to bits and seeing him celebrating the 3rd goal was probably my favorite part of the match !

The sight of him rubbing his hands together like a little kid was awesome.

that was... i feel like there may have been a bet going with Flamini or something too.

or he was just marveling at the speed of that counter.

they showed some video of him with SAF and Capello after the game on SSN. i'd like a .gif of that reaction from him.

i really wonder what would have happened with Becks if he would have stayed along with the likes of Giggs, Scholes and Neville. i know his time was basically at United when he left but a part of me always wonders...

The commentator did mention the former at that point.

Amazing how much things change and how they stay the same. Becks himself will have been a part of several counters like that.

In fact, I think in 2000 I saw him take part in one like that in the CL that was 3 or 4 touches the length of the pitch and then goal. It involved Becks, Giggsy and someone else, can't be sure.

Anyone remember that?

Fergie blanked him after the game and left him with the wtf face after having a deep conversation with Cappello and then walking straight past Beckham.

Oh well, here's what you coulda been part of, David. Now you're just watching from the outside in.

I'm pretty much middle-of-road opinion-wise on Beckham these days whilst I know that many take up quite a strong view one way or another. Must say, I enjoyed seeing that.

I think... he now regrets what he did and realises it doesn't get any better.

Bit like how Owen left the dippers and then they went and won the EC without him.

I don't associate the Beckham that is with the Beckham that was.. who was a legend here and untainted.
