Okay, so there's nothing earth shattering in it, but it was interesting to see the article in the Economist. The piece is titled Moneyballs and discusses Bill James, baseball, and the application of sabermetric principles to other sports, including soccer. Here's the link:

The article was well-written with the exception of calling Erick Dampier a flashy, widely-praised player. Then again, it's an English magazine specializing in world affairs. What would they really know about the Golden State Warriors?
