For teams like Aguila, Firpo, Fas, I was wondering how much these players make yearly.
I'm a goalkeeper here in the U.S., and i'm looking to try a professional team in E.S. in about 2 years time. Anybody know what a bench or 1st team keeper or any athlete for that matter make?
Thanks.

It really depends on the club and the player. For example, big clubs like you mentioned pay their players on average around 3000 to 5000 a month (that's the starting 11). Bench players make much less, it could be anywhere from 1000 to 2000, depending on how often they play, who they are etc. Also depends on what kind of contract you are on. For example, you could be getting 1500 per month and then a bonus of 500 for every game that you play. "Big names" at these clubs can make as much as around 8000 per month.
Smaller clubs on the other hand pay around 2000 to 3500 per month. Here bench players make much the same as what they do in the big teams (although on average it is lower). And "big names" can make as much as 6000.
Either way, if your a bench player that doesn't get much game time, you'd still be able to live comfortably. If you are looking to make big money, buy a huge house and a couple of cars then obviously that's not gonna happen (unless you're a big name player).
The thing you have to understand is that the first division is a professional league. You play football and that's it. No need to work on the side (unless you want to of course). In the second division, again there are players that all they do is play football, but there are a few players in this league who also have part time jobs. Then if you drop to the thirds, then here only a few would be able to get a salary that allows them not to work, but the majority do.
Overall i'd say try it out. Again, if you are looking for big money then it's not gonna happen. But if your content with getting enough to buy a little house and live comfortably then go for it.

Peace.
I actually thought it was going to be less than that. That's not bad money down in E.S. at all. Are there open tryouts for teams down there?
Do you know how one would go about getting a tryout date and time?
Thanks again.

If you want to make the big bucks, Aguila would be for you, I have the connections but just to let you know, Aguila has been 14 times national champ so you better be good and young if you are not a professional player yet and you want to try out for a big club.
I think Milovan DJoric was making about 40,000 $ as a coach back in the days, pretty good money to be made in a month in El Salvador. We are talking 1996-7
There is good money in the cities, you just have to be that good.
