All of the Canadian games at the WC will be shown live on TSN.

Canada played a warm-up game against Hungary a few days ago and ended up winning 9-2. 10,000 people showed up in Budapest and the game was sold out for months.

Canada plays Austria on Sunday.

Pretty embarrassing, especially considering the fact that you almost lost.

Please keep it up until we play you... :D

With several players fresh off the plane following an 8 hour flight, no preparation time, and a new coach in the last 24hours, I'd say a two goal come back against a hot goaltender is just fine. It's not like Canada will fail to make it past the first round; there will be time to regroup and put forth a better effort.

That said, the world is a lot closer nowadays than it ever has been in the past....

That is very true. I guess we'll see if the Austrians are for real today...

The Swiss could be a sleeper if they are able to hold out until the Avs get knocked out of the playoffs and Aebischer is able to join the team.

I think the rosters or the teams have been already filled out.

We already have Martin Gerber, no need for Aebischer.
I think the rosters or the teams have been already filled out.
I believe you can bring in players until the Qualifying Round.

Looks like I have to eat some crow. The Austrians seem to be the big surprise in this year's tournament...

No upset today against Canada, although I will admit I had some hopes after Canada's less than impressive victory over France.

What a wonderful own goal from Japan- that just looked too funny. the organisers fu-cked up bigtime by first playing the japanese anthem atfer the game- then playing the wrong danish anthem to the discontent of both danish fans and players- they were literally buuing !

For the 2nd time in a row Denmark qualify for the next round in this WC tournament... and perhaps some Americans remember the 5-2 defeat to Denmark in the last WC tournament ??... we also got a draw with Canada...

Thou we have some pretty talented players, I Personally think it's a bloody miracle that we are able to compeat at a WC tournament like this, in spite the fact that we only have 4,255 registered players and 14 rinks in Denmark... and not even one single NHL player ! ...
