2:30 PM ET, the field to be announced. If UMass ends up winning the Hockey East Final, it's pretty much a who will go where deal at the time I'm posting this. A Maine win, and who gets the last spot gets REAL INTERESTING, assuming at this point that only Harvard is in from the ECAC. As of 11:30 ET, the tied for 13th in the Pairwise are, in this order, Colorado College, Notre Dame, and Colgate, with Niagara/Holy Cross/Harvard getting bids 14-16. Now keep in mind that the Pairwise is not 100% final when it comes to who gets the last invites. Hint hint, CC may go because they are hosting a regional, even though they may not deserve to.

There you go. Discuss away. Last at-large bid went to Notre Dame.

Boston College and North Dakota shouldn't be tested until the Frozen Four......
I say Duluth and Wisconsin are both hungry after the last two weeks have played out. Look out for them.

I watched Maine and Harvard. I tell you what, after being down 1-4 at the beginning of the Third and winning that game......the Black Bears have momentum in their corner.
UND-Holy Cross wasn't a great game. UND looked flat the first two periods with the exception of the first 47 seconds of the first. The third they came out hungry to win and played their physical game.
Holy Crosses goalie puked on the ice about halfway through the third period.

Un********ing believable. I spoke too soon.
I wish UND would have shown up for the tourney.

I just got back from said game in the Springs. As thrilled as I am that Denver won, No Dak did show up, they just couldn't score. The Sioux had a huge edge in faceoffs, a decent overall territorial edge, and had more than their share of chances. A combination of high/wide shots and fantastic play by Berkhoel in net did No Dak in. We were concerned that Denver hadn't done a lot in the third period until just before the goal. The goal was a cannon blast by Max Bull, who's more of a checking / defensive forward. Fantastic game to end the weekend with a boisterous crowd. Most, save for Sioux and rival CC fans, pulled for Denver towards the end. BTW, Rory McMahon is a piece of garbage. Trying to literally run over Berkhoel 15 seconds into the game, clearly after the whistle, and he was 30+ feet from the crease when the puck was covered up.
Friday's crowd was a disappointment, in number and spirit. Not even boisterous during Denver's game. The games were really good though. Holy Cross played really well after a bit of a tentative start. They earned the respect of the Springs crowd, including No Dak fans. The goalie getting sick: my buddy and I thought it was a combination of being really worked in the game, the altitude, and dehydration. I found out today he had a bad stomach flu all day. I'm sure the dehydration, etc. may have contributed. The crowd gave him a standing O when he left the game with 3:30 left.

Good to hear that Minnesota Duluth ended the Gophers season today. Hopefully the Pioneers and Bulldogs can represent the WCHA well in Boston.
