60th game of the season

Sir Alex Ferguson:

“I have got a squad, and I intend to use it,” says Sir Alex. “The midfield will change and the players up front will also probably change. I’ll bring some freshness into the team in some important areas.

“There’s Paul Scholes, Darron Gibson, Ji-sung Park and Nani, who didn’t play against Arsenal. But I won’t change my back four, which will be much the same apart from Rio. But up front I’ve got Federico Macheda and Danny Welbeck, and they may be involved.”

Gareth Southgate:
"There are still three points in it and that's retrievable," he said. "We've got to keep on fighting. We've been in the situation we are for a good ten weeks or so. We've seen in the past that teams have been down and out, but one result changes the whole picture.

"If we can get a result against Manchester United then we can really turn things on their head."

I have a deep loathing for 'Boro. I hope we win not just because it'll see us comfortably stay top but because it may well see them go down.

2-0.

Interesting line-up for this game.

I will try something like this:
-----Macheda---------
-----------Berba------
Park--Scholes--Gibson--Nani/Welbeck
Evra--Vidic ---- Evans---O'Shea
-----------Foster------------------

Subs: Koozy, Rafa, Rooney, Ronaldo, Tevez, Nani/Webleck, Brown.

Hopefully we wont lose the league, because Fergie certainly is prioritizing the CL.

With no Macheda and Welbeck in the reserves today, I'd expect they have some role for this one.

i could see a similar lineup to what we saw at Wembley against Everton. i can definitely see Macheda starting this one.

the Manager also mentioned that Brown may see some minutes but probably won't start.

I hope some big players play as well, Middlesbrough recently have had ok results against us at the Riverside. 3 points is a must. It will give us another confidence boost for Emirates Stadium.

2-0 to United.

--------Tevez---------
--Park---Berbatov-Nani
-----Gibson--Scholes---
Evra--Evans-Vidic-Rafael
----------Foster-------------

Or Giggs and Berbatov upfront?

--------Tevez---------
--Park---Berbatov-Nani
-----Gibson--Scholes---
Evra--Evans-Vidic-Rafael
----------Foster-------------

I like that, but I think Giggs will have a role to play

perhaps...

--------------------Tevez
--------------------Giggs
Park--------------------------------Nani
-----------Gibson---------Scholes
Evra--------------------------------Rafael
-------------Vidic---------Evans
---------------------VDS

With Berbatov coming on for Giggs, Tevez, Nani or Park as needed or dependent on who Fergie wants to start against Arsenal midweek.

No Tosic?

Tosic is always brought up, I can't see him playing a single game until pre season starts. With Ji Sung Park and Nani not playing recently, they would be preferred rather than Tosic who has no experience. Bench at most.

My wife thinks that player's name is "PokerTits" and I don't correct her, basically so I can say "PokerTits" with impunity.

That's cool, until she wonders why you scream out a football player's name in the bedroom.

Team news out?

Yeah it would be nice, but it would be nicer if we use a more experienced player like Gibson rather then Possebon because we want a good 3 points. Im not saying Possebon can't do it, it is just that towards the end of the season we need to be sure of wins that will help us secure the title fast.

the reason he suggested possebon is that he was injured by a shit pokertits tackle.

I don't mind fielding a team like the FA Cup Semi but we need to have the bigs guns on the bench should we need them later in the game.
