Update: Ferdinand left Wednesday's Champions League match to head to the hospital after taking a knock in the ribs. The extent of the injury is not yet known.
Analysis: Ferdinand had just been down on the pitch minutes prior to an Arsenal corner that saw Ferdinand crushed in a scrum of players jumping for the ball. Details of the hospital results probably won't be known until tomorrow.
