Update: Rooney scored twice as Manchester United trounced Tottenham 5-2 on Saturday.
Analysis: A five goal second-half explosion by United may have rescued their hopes at maintaining the Premier League title. In typical Rooney fashion, they were workman-like goals, and with a three point lead and a game in hand with four to play, United seem on their way to yet another league title.
