... is hanging by his thumbs!
For those who aren't in the US, with less than 90 seconds to go, FSW cut to an ad for a shoe stretcher! We never saw the last minute of the game.

I taped the game while at work. Came home, still didn't know who won. Watched the game without interruption. Was rooting for Tranmere. Then, with a minute-plus to go, they cut away to a damn commercial and then they realize they made the mistake after the entire commercial ran, and we get to see the after-the-final-whistle on field celebrations/cheers.
Horrible, horrible, horrible.

I'm sure the excuse would be: the commercials are computerized/timed and it cut in automatically.
This is b#llocks of course since they had shown the entire match up until that point without the typical top/bottom of the hour breaks.
We are all grateful for FSW and especially for their expanded coverage of the FA Cup this year but to cut away in the final minutes of a do-or-die match is inexcusable.
Don't even get me started on the mindlessness of the commercial and the product it advertised. I usually TiVo-delay matches by at least 15 minutes to skip halftime and the endless pitches for VIP (memo to FSW: there's nobody in Europe I want to call to discuss the match! Leave me alone!).
You would think that after 20-30 years of seeing ads for mail-order junk that consumers would get wise and that business would dry up and these kinds of ads would go away.
Of course, when you watch the early Sat/Sun matches, you often get the tail end of the Alzare infomercial. I have no idea what Alzare is, but apparently it causes 30 losers to sit in a studio while gaping at 3 skanky women while the women watch a fugitive from an outsourcing firm fiddle with his eyeglasses.

That game was not extra long. I think someone just pushed the wrong button.
We have to have ads to pay for this, and I appreciate their running just those banners during play, but ...
This is FOOTball. The feet are on the ground. Most of the time, the ball is on or near the ground. PUT THE BANNERS AT THE TOP!
I would be happy to buy from FSW's advertisers, but very few of them sell anything I want. In fact, I can think of only one, and I buy it regularly: Guinness.
