We should absolutely kill Newcastle. I am expecting to win 4 or 5 to nothing.
We are at home. Newcastle sucks. We need to win.
They said Gerrard is supposed to be fit, but I don't know if we will be, so I will post two lineups.
If Gerrard Is Fit
Reina
Arbeloa - Hyypia - Skrtel - Aurelio
Lucas - Alonso
Kuyt - Gerrard - Riera
Torres
Subs - Cavalieri, Carragher, Insua, Mascherano, Benayoun, Babel, Ngog
If Gerrard Isn't Fit
Reina
Arbeloa - Agger - Skrtel - Insua
Mascherano - Alonso
Kuyt - Benayoun - Riera
Torres
Subs - Cavalieri, Carragher, Aurelio, Lucas, Spearing, Babel, Ngog

Another team fighting for it's premier life.
I'm in...to win...with a full first team.

Either way I'd find a way to get Kuyt, Gerrad, BennyOnions, Torres and Alonso on the pitch

I'd probably play Masch instead of Rieara and put Yossi and Dirk wide

That would make our team incredibly narrow, unless we can get proper fullback support.

just move the touch line in about 3 metres on each side...

Or we could just tie an oversized novely elastic band around Yossi's waste and connected to something on the touchline...therefore he'll be stuck wide. Hehe.
What a stupid idea...:o
Lets just chuck Riera out there, especially given that Newcastle's midfield and defence doesnt have much positional sense...except for Bassong, who is a good young CB.

That's the only reason I would feel bad about relegating Newcastle. I actually like Shearer. But I hate, hate Newcastle.

Think about it like this then...
Shearer is not going to be at St James Park next year, so you shouldnt feel guilty about relegating them.

just throw our best team out there....I mean we have 4(!!) games left - and we need all 12.
Insua probably gets dropped as a teaching tool for his terrible effort on the Hull goal. Outside of that -
Reina
Arbs--Carra--Skrt--Aurelio
Masch--Alonso
Kuyt--Gerrard (Yossi)--Riera
Torres

I said it last week and I'll say it this week: Carragher needs a rest. Whenever they show him during the match, he looks dazed and confused. What's he at now, 50 or 51 matches this season? I know it's a long week, but with Gerrard back, I say give the man a weekend off. Yes, he's the anchor of the defense and we only have four games left, but a rested, revitalized Carragher for the final three matches could be huge.
Reina
Arbeloa - Hyypia - Agger - Aurelio
Mascherano - Alonso
Kuyt - Gerrard - Riera
Torres
Subs: Cavalieri, Skrtel, Insua, Benayoun, Lucas, Babel, Ngog

I agree, but i don't see the point in playing Gerrard from the start if he's fit. I would leave him on the bench, and if his service are needed at half time then get him into action. Without gerrard we have enough up front to win the game at home.

Watched them playing against Pompy today, they actually played OK. OK for playing Pompy that is. Alright so Pompy looked OK as well!
They both spent oodles of time in the others penalty area and once or twice shots were made at the keeper or over the bar. Little Mikey had a try and so did that big girt Ozzie who once scored goals when he played for Leeds....Oh yeh and Alan Smith, Leeds reunion, all we needed is that Galatasary player, what's him name....?
Certainly hope they don't get that much time to dally in our penaty area.

It's a bit weird seeing Newcastle fighting for survival but Liverpool is not the team you should be hoping to beat to avoid relegation (exception to the rule - 'Boro).
Reina
Arbs-Carra-Agger-whoever
Diverano-Alonso
Kuyt Yossi Riera
Torres
If Gerrard is fit and we play crappy football in the 1st half, sub him in ASAP.
