Everton to All-Star Game?
After negotiating with Valencia and Villarreal, MLS now appears to be eyeing Everton for the All-Star Game in Salt Lake City this summer. Featuring New Jersey's own Tim Howard in goal, Everton is currently sixth in the English Premiership and headed for the FA Cup final after upsetting Manchester United this week. Hopefully I will have more details to share later today.
There was nothing else on it today, but you can follow it at: http://blog.washingtonpost.com/soccerinsider/

I'd be there in a heartbeat. They'd probably come out for a couple weeks of training and hopefully add a couple more matches around the midwest to this one.

If they held the MLS ASG in Columbus or Chicago, I could drive over for it.
SLC is a bit of a stretch, although I haven't been to Utah for several years, and my fiance does have a brother living in Ogden.....hmmm....

After MLS makes tickets available to Real Salt Lake season ticket holders starting today, next week sales will be limited to people with ties to the sponsors, and holders of MLS Visa credit cards.
I just filled out a MLS Visa application and was approved in a matter of seconds online, so hopefully I'll get my credit card number soon so I can pick up some good seats to the game.
If you're interested in going to the game too, let me know, and I'll look into buying some extra tickets for my fellow Blues.

I'm going to try my hardest to make it. It's a bit over a 1 day drive from here but with no job as of right now I might not be able to. Maybe they'll play a few other games while they're here a bit closer to me.

Went out there to see them against RSL back in '07.
Will try to get a ticket or two for this one.
