Do we need to have some sort of time limit for picks?
We only have this week to get this done before the season starts on Saturday.
6 hours a pick (except overnight?)

I'm out of work... Be available to get most if not all the rounds done tonight...

Sorry for the delay guys.
I am going to pass on the opportunity to play this as i simply don't have the time available to devote to a live draft at the moment.
My employer has seen fit to ban any and all personal on-line time for the foreseeable future due to rampant abuse, it is now grounds for suspension and termination.
I have to share the home computer with my wife and children and it would only delay you guys to the point of exasperation.Originally when i talked to Hal about it, he talked about doing it over a weekend which would have been ideal - but i simply can't do it during a work week.
So, in fairness to all of you, i will pass on this one.
Paul.

Not to mention that it has just taken me almost 10 mins to post one message because of "server busy" problems

I'm hoping that once we finish Round 1, the managers will make known their schedules and avail themselves of my offer to make proxy picks on their behalf based on PM's, emails, or phone calls.
Paul (Clanblue) is on the clock. I sent Clanblue a PM shortly after Mark's pick. As a Big Soccer Moderator, he should pick up on the PM. My guess is he has the late shift since his last post was at 2 AM today.
If we are still having difficulties getting managers to make picks, we can set a time limit and either A) Make a pick for them using our best and honest advice as if we were picking for ourselves, or B) Pass them and they can make two picks at their next turn.
I think I favor B because the managers in this league have to have a plan on how to deal with the salary cap.

Well Paul is out
See his post at the bottom of page 3
Do we go with a reduced amout of players or find someone new?
I say go ahead with the 6 we have.
Sorry to hear that, Paul.
So I guess we are back to 6 teams. Darn, should have kept the other 6 team draft order......
The revised draft orders are:
Odd Rounds:
1. Jay (DoctorJones24)
2. Andrew (subbuteo)
3. Jason (darr)
4. Mark (kopiteinkc)
5. Hal (Hal)
6. Justin (JG_Revs)
Even Rounds reverse above.
With the first pick in Round 1, Aviators select Chicago Fire Forward, RAZOV,
Justin (JG_Revs) is on the clock for the next two picks.
Although I like the PM feature of BigSoccer.com, once we really get this draft rolling, I suggest we take it to a different site to avoid this Server Busy junk.
Andrew (subbuteo) suggested a site. Don't know if it has space limitations on posts.
We can use MFLS forums. I think there is no size restriction on MFLS forums, so I can post lengthy draft updates as the draft goes beyond the first few rounds.

Everyone will have to already have signed up on MFLS to post on their forums, right?
Also, with my first team in MFLS (it's in an open division) our division has its own forum. Does that mean Very Small Rocks could have its own forum, too?

Yes it does have its own Very Small Rocks forum
I have started a thread. Maybe we should move there.

I vote we move it there, too. But I think we need two of our people to sign up and add themselves to the league before they can begin posting.
Only after we get Justin's attention!

Are we going to continue here or switch to the very small rocks forum at mfls?...
With the second pick in Round 2, Aviators select Colorado Forward, Spencer, 220.
Selections so far:
Ruiz
Donovan
Ralph
Twellman
Razov
Cancela Duran
Scott
Spencer
Mark (kopiteinkc) is on the clock.
We have to continue here until Jay and Justin sign up and join the Very Small Rocks MFLS Division. Then we can switch the draft to that thread.
