The big talk in the press has been about Leeds and what will happen with them financially if they are relegated. My questio for everyone is, what about Bradford and Wimbledon? What will happen to either of them if they're relegated to the second division?
As you may know, Bradford has been placed in administration for the second time in two years. And they're 7 points from safety. They can still pull it off but their financial position isn't helping them bring in new blood to help avoid the drop. Are their any serious prospective buyers for the club? Worse, if they are relegated would they be able to squeak by? They're in administration right now. And with the season winding down - that is, their main source of revenue + cash about to dry up - I have a hard time seeing them being around next year by any means short of a fire sale. That is, the ol' you can have the club for free if you're willing to deal with the headache and the debts type thing.
The Dons future looks worse but may actually turn out for the better. They're in a bad financial position right now. And if they're not already mathmatically relegated to division two, for all practical purposes they are. They've had to sell of a lot of players the last 2 years to get by. And at that they still haven't been making ends meet and they're performance on the pitch took a nose dive. That said, they at least have one serious potential buyer of the club. That is why I think their future may be brighter. Then again, if the Winkleman deal doesn't pan out I'd have to wonder if Wimbledon won't completely vanish.
What do you all think?
