With just 5 GW to go, the promotion/relegation teams are almost finalized.
If you haven't done so, post your interest in returning for next season in the 2009_10 Pre-organizing thread.
Small Rocks League:
Vegas Virgins has run away with the championship.
We have 4 teams still fighting for second:
In Off The Post leads FC Springfield by 22, Aviators by 30, and Rat Face Villains by 38.
The relegation spots are basically determined:
Windsor Wanderers at 1293 trails 6th place by 131.
Yellowcake Phantoms are pushing not to finish 8th and trail Windsor Wanderers by 11.
Very Small Rocks League:
Promotion is all but decided:
blechs-dawgs leads LSG Royston Vasey by 22 with Pork Soda trailing LSG by 85
Relegation is decided. Going down to Sand League are:

Duck Butter Bandits leads ChrisSuttonsSlippers by 23 for the league championship with Sasha Juniors just 24 points behind ChrisSuttons Slippers for the 2nd promotion spot.
Truth be told, accounting for not returnees, we can expect all three to be in Sand League next year.
Relegation has no meaning for the Dust League, as we welcome back managers who have shown an active interest throughout the season despite having a bad year.

It's likely not to matter, but LSG is carrying a 4-point penalty, so it's only 81 points between 2nd and 3rd in VSR. A lot of points to make up in 5 weeks, but there is a double gameweek for ManU and fantasy captain Ronaldo still in the cards for Pork Soda, so I know I haven't ruled it out yet. Of course, with LSG now flying high, I'm probably the one more at risk if Ronaldo ends the season strong, but we'll see.

Wow... Nice to hear some are counting my chickens, but I'm still staring at a bunch of eggs.
Blech is right, although I've been working with the number 5 in my head... I think the illegally acquired C. Cole may have scored a point for me that gameweek?

With two games to go plus two more games this week:
Aviators is now in second, leading Rat Face Villains by 14, IOTP by 31 and FC Springfirld by 32.
The relegation spots are basically determined:
Windsor Wanderers at 1293 trails 6th place by 131.

Yellowcake Phantoms has moved off the bottom and leads Windsor Wanderers by 12, but both will still be in Very Small Rocks next season.

No change in Relegation, but Talley Road AFC will not be invited back due to inactivity. I need some inputs from the other Very Small Rocks managers on whether or not The Class Acts minimal activity warrants an invite back. Brian only made trades for 4 different gameweeks, and none since GW25, although he has made some roster changes.
Sand League:
Promoted to Very Small Rocks will be:
ColdDogSoup FC
with Old Peculiar leading for the second promotion spot by 33 over This Is Anfield.
Promotion slots look the same with ColdDogSoupFC and Old Peculiar moving up to Very Small Rocks. With 2 games to go, Old Peculiar leads This Is Anfield by about 65.
Relegation:
Welsh Dragonsox & Crazies will be relegated to the Dust League.
The Relegation teams haven't changed, but in addition to relegation, neither team will be invited back due to inactivity. Welsh Dragonsox has made 3 total transfers for the season, and none since GW5. Crazies is almost the same, 3 total transfers for the season and none since GW6.
When you add the 1-2 not likely to be invited back from the Very Small Rocks relegated teams to these two relegated teams, there will likely be 4 slots for promotion from Dust League to Sand League. Might put some pressure on the teams fighting for 4th in the Dust League.

Duck Butter Bandits leads ChrisSuttonsSlippers by 23 for the league championship with Sasha Juniors just 24 points behind ChrisSuttons Slippers for the 2nd promotion spot.
Truth be told, accounting for not returnees, we can expect all three to be in Sand League next year.
With 2 games and 2 weeks to go, Sasha Juniors has closed to within 7 of ChrisSuttonsSlippers for the automatic second promotion spot along with Duck Butter Bandits. The identified inactive teams above mean that Sasha Juniors will also be promoted to Sand, as most likely will Bettermirror MCFD.
Relegation has no meaning for the Dust League, as we welcome back managers who have shown an active interest throughout the season despite having a bad year.
With 4 Dust teams likely to be promoted, that would leave 4 openings for Dust League next season. .[/ However, Dust also has one inactive team, Galway Rovers who only made 2 trades for the year, both in GW20, so Galway Rovers will not be invited back due to inactivity.
This means we will have at least 5 openings for the Dust League next season, assuming that the other Rocks managers return. (Not totally evident yet by the responses in the Pre-Organizing Thread for next season.) In the Pre-Organizing thread we also have one new manager who wants to join our drafted leagues.
In addition to requesting feedback from other Very Small Rocks teams on whether The Class Acts was active enough to be invited back, I also need similar feedback:

I have made a new thread in the FPL forum which neither have replied to yet but I would be reluctant to dismiss either just yet as I thought both were fairly active, to an extent, over the course of the season. I'm still hopeful one, or maybe both, will reply before or at the end of the season.
I do concur that Galway Rovers have been inactive too long to be given an extension.

Is there anyway to have the Team Names and Big Soccer Names listed. I think I got it now that Epikoinis is VCC but still not sure.

Class Acts has remained active just without making any transfers. he admitted he couldn't catch up and was doomed to relegation. I would say it is fine for him to come back next season.
I'd say pretty much the same thing. He's been active, just not in transfers.

Yeah...I basically just threw my last hand in the wildcard trying to shake things up and it didn't work so I just gave in that I would be in the 3rd tier again from the next campaign and just start afresh.

Not a typical year at all for you but I am sure you'll be back on form again next year. Sand should be a good league next year with some excellent managers coming up from Dust as well.
Based on feedback and Brian's post, The Class Acts will be included in next season's invite list.
I still need feedback on those mentioned below.
I've cleaned out my PM box so I can receive PMs again with next season's CONTACT INFO for those managers who have yet to provide same.

Hal, I sent you a PM on Monday 11th mentioning that I had PM'ed bettermirror, Dear_Claudio and jjsauer regarding interest in next season.
Since then bettermirror has stated that he wishes to be involved again so is guaranteed to return. jjsauer hasn't been online on BS since the middle of April but has made a trade recently in Dust so his situation is still unclear. As for Dear_Claudio he has been active on BS and unless his inbox is full it looks like he has no interest to return.
Perhaps Clan or lobomojo could get his attention on a Chelsea thread as he seems to be a regular contributor in their forum. Otherwise I'd have to call him as being out.

Dear__Claudio and jjsauer have yet to post intent to continue in the Pre-organizing thread. Dear-Claudio did PM me with his contact info. I still have not received the contact info / update from jjsauer or GordonEF.
We have two more open slots in Dust League for next season due to the inactive managers who aren't invited back.
These potential Rocks League make-ups are not necessarily in order. I'll post the correct order in the Official Organizing Thread. Then, if managers choose to withdraw or fail to recommit to another season, then everyone will know who moves up to the higher league.
Everyone check back after the July 4 holiday for the Official Organizing thread for next season. Expect the Go Slow phase of the drafts to start the weekend of July 31. This means we'll have to lock in the teams by July 24 so each league's draft administrator can get the lottery pick info to establish the draft order. The season starts Aug 15.
Thanks to everyone who made this a very successful season. Special kudos to the managers who developed new competitions for our leagues. Check out the Sticky 2008-09 Tournament Recap thread for more details.
Thanks also to those who created and maintained websites for rosters and tournaments, and otherwise supported our drafted leagues.
