Well...

Reina
Arbeloa - Carragher - Skrtel - Insua
Alonso - Mascherano
Kuyt - Gerrard - Riera
Torres

Nothing but a victory will do.

Carragher should be rested.

---------------------Reina----------------------

Arbeloa------Skrtel-----------Agger--------Insua

-------------Alonso--------Mascherano----------

Kuyt----------------Gerrard-------------Benayoun

---------------------Torres----------------------

This is assuming Gerrard gets fit. If not, I stand by my formation for the Arsenal match, except that Carra gets benched.

If Rafa does not trust the Agger/Skrtel partnership yet, then an Agger/Hyypia or Skrtel/Hyppia CB partnership could be tried out.

almost certain that Gerrard will still be out - or w ewould have started hearing things like "Gerrard winning fitness battle" etc.

Same team as Arsenal - Insua for Aurelio, Skrtel or Hyppia for Carragher - though there is no chance that happens - can't have the Captain and Vice-Captain out.

Reina
Arbs--Carra--Agger--Insua
Masch--Alonso
Kuyt--Yossi--Riera
Torres

I'd like to pad our GD and go top for a few hours. That being said, a win is a win.

Must win (as they all are now).

Carragher looks like he could use a rest. Take the weekend off, Carra, you've earned it. Alonso to captain the squad.

Reina
Arbeloa - Hyypia - Agger - Aurelio
Mascherano - Alonso
Kuyt - Benayoun - Riera
Torres

^ Wouldn't Hyypia be the captain in that team?

If we are going to bench Carragher, then put on Skrtel.

I still don't see Rafa sitting both Captain and Vice Captain.

If Gerrard isn't fit to start, he will at least make the bench.

Hull has been absolute shit these last 2-3 months. I don't know what Brown is going to have them do. They are only one place from the drop zone. Earlier in the season they might play more open, but now they might play tight and hope for a point.

Yes, yes he would. I originally had Skrtel in the XI before guessing Rafa would play Hyypia if Carragher were to have a break.

If they play tight, we'll just have to ram goals in and leave a gaping hole where their defense used to be.

Kinda doubt Carra gets a rest, even though he needs it. I really don't think the "no captain or vice captain" is the reason, but rather b/c it's Hull, which could give Carra a bit of confidence. Also, Carra organizes the defense.

If Carra gets a rest, and I hope he does, then I want Xabi captaining the side. He's been our best player this season and he's most definitely captain material.

Assuming Gerrard isn't fit, I'd like to see:
Reina
Arbeloa Skrtel Agger Insua
Masch Xabi (C)
Yossi Kuyt Riera
El Nino

Three points, no more, no less. Let's pad that goal differential.

Me too! I don't have premium and it just sucks. I have the same exact thing with the script errors. I hope the powers that be fix it. Seriously it sucks so bad.

i'll take that lineup...

just noticed that torres is tied for third with 13 goals with stevie -- just two behind anelka and ronaldo -- despite only 20 or so appearances...

if he can bag two in this game, he might be able to crack 20 goals and get the golden boot, despite missing, what, a third of the season?... pretty impressive...

I have got the DVR set up for Sat. AM.
I expect 'ull to be real tigers fighting against relegation. It may not be quite as easy as some think.

How did it go for us last time?
