Is anyone else watching on Setanta hearing the comms' statements 3 or 4 seconds ahead of the action?
This renders the game unwatchable with the sound. I've had to mute it.

Yup. And Setanta Broadband still sucks. The picture skips like every 10 seconds. I bet the free streams on the internet are better.
I'm relieved it's not my TV.
It's completely ridiculous. It ruins the entire broadcast to be watching something and hearing the result of a run just as it's starting.

I'm in!
It ain't over until the final whistle, May 24th.
Amen to that! It's far, far from over - exciting stuff! If this game is anything like the first half of the Anfield fixture against Hull we're in for a treat (of course assuming we bag the requisite 3 points).
WTF is with that panic button? Of course I have to try it and find myself out on the google page!
"They" Just have to find ways to play with the site and make it slower and slower.
I did the same thing, wondering what the heck it would do. I think it's part of their SEO (search engine optimization) strategy where they link back to google from every post for higher page rankings. They sneakily get a link to google on every post through the "panic button." Cheeky ;)

I think we're playing a man down with Lucas out there. If i didnt know the team sheet, I wouldnt even know he was playing and therefore being a waste of space. I hope to see N'gog brought on and put up top with Torres or Kuyt slid to second striker and Riera out wide in the second half.

GOAL!!! Xabi!!!
The free kick looked like it was won by Mascherano taking a lil dive and if so, I believe that is the first time I have ever seen him do such a thing.

I don't know if playing Carragher was the best idea. He is out of it and is destabilizing the rest of the defense. Arbeloa and Skrtel don't look sure of themselves and its not giving Reina any confidence whatsoever.
So far, the addition of a CM hasn't made much of a difference either. We're a bit lucky to be ahead. Torres is isolated again and needs support, a player linking the attack.

Not sure if Masch made a meal of losing the ball which led to free kick or if Boateng actually touched him.

lol, the only thing that touched Mascherano there was the wind.

We are looking far too vulnerable at the back. Lost defensive shape far too easily in the first half. Even Reina doesn't look himself in goal today; some questionable decisions, giveaways and cheap chances given by all four at the back today. I would rather see Hyppia in there partnering with Skrt in central defense, things just seem too unstable back there right now.

I wish players wouldn't do that shit then. Hopefully we score three or so in second half to render it a moot point.

That was never a foul in a million years, but as a Newcastle fan, if it stays 1-0 that might be the biggest stroke of luck for us all season. :o

At live speed I thought Masch earned a free kick. It didn't appear to be a dive from my seat across the pond and I have to trust the referee's judgment given he's closer to the action than anyone on this board. He gave a card to the defender and not Masch so obviously he thought there was enough there to grant the free kick. Until I see a good replay I really can't say one way or the other, just what it appeared to be initially.

The yellow was for the foul upfield, on which the ref played advantage. Setanta showed several replays, and Mascherano pretty much tried to cut and twisted his own ankle and fell down, with Boateng stepping in as he was hitting the pitch.
