Saints. Must win. Etc.

Gerrard is fit, despite ankle knock in yesterday's disappointing-but-not-disastrous result in the UEFA Cup. Baros and Finnan, though are "major doubts," and Smicer, Le Tallec, and Welsh are still hurt.

I think this will be the squad GH selects:

.................Kirkland

Henchoz--Biscan--Hyypia--Carragher

..Murphy--Hamann--Gerrard--Kewell

.............Owen--Heskey

Dudek
Traore
Riise
Cheyrou (or Diouf)
Sinama-Pongolle

Yeh, let's move on.
Hope Milan's injury isn't serious, we're going to need all our better players from here on in. Even if! we get 3 from from our game-in-hand, we're still in 5th.
Definately need "help" from the toon.;) and the others pushing for the last spot.

About right. I'd like us to bring in Diouf on the right but not likely. This is a must game.

"Liverpool today suffered a fresh injury blow with the news that Chris Kirkland has been ruled out of action for at least six weeks with a broken wrist.

The injury was sustained in training at Melwood this morning as the squad prepared for tomorrow's Premiership fixture against Southampton."

Dudek in the XI; Luzi into the squad, I guess.

My, but he is a little fragile isn't he...?

The midfield is a surprise. I don't like surprises.

I give Houllier credit for changing things up a bit. I would have rather seen Riise than Biscan though. Droppin Kewell is interesting. He seemed to be getting back to form, so I'm not sure I understand that one.

The black kits? I didn't know they still could wear those.

Henchoz onthe left!....Really?

Is it just me or does Gerard look like he's more comfortable at a cabaret than a match? ;)

I'm just being a pain for fun. Best of luck. You'll need it to walk away from St. Mary's with any points.

I'd guess it's because both our red kit and our white second kit clash with their red and white stripes.

I suppose the days of playing green in Southampton are gone! :)

Just seen the City/Utd score. "Interesting"

25 mins, no score, is this a good thing?

Kewell to Gerrard with a chance and bends it high and wide of the top corner

4 good chances early on, it is time to make the most of this possession and these chances.

Liverpool has had almost 70% of the possesion but hasn't created many great chances. Southhampton has done literally nothing.
