The lack of fire he has been exhibiting kind of makes sense now! It's not about getting raged when it could kill you! Some things are clearer now :(

The drama is too much for the gaffer; his poor heart can't take it. Too much stick from the FA, too much second-guessing, possibly having to do too much w/o a real #2 for much of the season, the last few month's results - its enough to do any man in...

Having a pacemaker installed is not the same as having bypass surgery. It's likely he has an irregular heartbeat which the pacemaker corrects. If he were to have had coronary artery blockage requiring bypass surgery or balloon stents installed then his passivity would be understandable.
