Inspired by erick's pain (link (http://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showpost.php?p=17509475&postcount=275)) I thought this might be an interesting thread idea. The rules are simple and singular:
In five events take us from World War II to the present.
It can be as serious or stupid as you wish.

1945 saw the beginning of the Atomic Age, bringing both awe and fear to the planet.
1963 marked the end of innocence in the United States as JFK was assassinated.
1969 celebrated one of mankind's great achievements, as human beings set foot on another world for the first time.
1989 ushered in new hopes for peace between East and West, as the Berlin Wall fell.
1992 saw a glimmer of hope emerge in a dark and dreary world, as Sky Sports formed the Premier League.

1945 - They dropped the bomb.
1969 - A moon landing was faked using plastic bottles, old toilet rolls, wire coat hangers and sticky-back plastic.
1973 - First ARPANET connection outside the US established
1986 - Ferguson joins Man Utd
2004 - I discover this place

I missed the option of "No fcking chance in hell" for erick's AP exam.
Anyway, five events:
1961: Barack Obama is born.
1974: Barack Obama hits puberty and shaves for the first time.
1976: Barack Obama tries cocaine for the first time, digs the rush.
2004: Barack Obama runs for vacant Illinois senate seat, people begin to notice Messianic potential.
2008: Barack Obama is elected president, hope springs eternal.

1969 - Manchester United wins the European Cup
1986 - Alex Ferguson becomes manager of Manchester United

am I opening a can of worms by giving this a "wtf"?
because if this was some attempt at humor, it was in very poor taste....

I'm of the opinion that people who believe that are stupid, but I don't have a problem with jokes about it. When 'it' refers to people who believe it was made up. I don't see a problem with it.

I didn't mean it that way, i was making fun because the world knew about such event but they acted to late.

BTW the test is in days but I dont get the results until August but I'm hoping to pass or my 76 dollars will go to waste.
