The pitch decides Fergies team selections:
"When I saw the pitch, what I didn't want was to go into extra time with my strongest squad," Ferguson said.

Hmm.... maybe you have to be above a certain age to remember that one.

Although my own personal favourite from that show was this one...

Can't think why... ;)

Worries over the pitch prompted Ferguson to field a youthful Manchester United team, who were beaten by Everton on a penalty shoot-out on Sunday.

how the media can even report something like this is absolutely comical

I wonder how much time this silly idea will waste?

But you only scored one goal in your last game. ;)

Just watched the highlights from the FA Cup semi, Berbatov's penalty, laziness at it's best. Rio's wasn't that bad though.

Have to say I'm still impressed that Moyes has done well this season, even so with no strikers.

True. I fear they're getting tired, and the really brutal part of the schedule is still coming up.

They'll be playing six games in the next 20 days:
twice against Chelsea
away to Sevilla and Real Madrid
at home to Valencia and Villareal

They could just as easily be second in the league and out Europe as in the CL final and Spanish champions by the time all those games are played...

Well I can understand why you'd want to see Chelsea in the CL final, but why on earth would anyone prefer to see Real win the La Liga title? :D

Frankly, it won't make a difference as I do not really like either club. I would just find it amusing if after 8 months, Barcelona lost their lead in the end... I do, however, like and support what Barcelona are doing to support UNICEF but other than that - I have very little interest in La Liga as a whole other than than keeping up with their table.

Good luck with the title.

I don't think they will.

Their only hope is survival by default.

If Hull keep imploding they way they have been they may yet slither out of the danger zone.
The problem is they need to gain more points to do that, which they are looking increasingly unlikely to amass.
If they do survive, I suspect it'll be little or nothing to do with them 'turning a corner' and a whole lot to do with Hull massively bottling it.
