This is waste of time in my opinion because no Guatemala team has ever managed anything.

Saving the 1968 Olympic team who managed defeat Czechoslovakia a European power at that time and finishing in 5th place overall losing only to powerful teams of the time like the Mighty Magyars of Hungary and Bulgaria.

I believe this was also the same team that won the NORCECA Championship which was the equivalent of today's CONCACAF Gold cup.

Individual talent sure I could make a list but I'm too young I never saw anyone from the old times play. I think the oldest player I watched play was Memin Funes.

Well as growing up to me the best Guatemalan player i've seen without a doubt Byron Perez.

But if we really do have to go back, well this guy should be one of the best, he's the only Guatemalan that has played for a big team like Real Madrid.

Juan Carlos Plata: Goal top scorer record in history of Guatemala.

Carlos Ruiz: Our only player who has played outside Guate for almost a decade. And is the top scorer of our national team.

Oscar Sanchez: One of our most talented players of all times.

Carlos Toledo: Very talented and skilled player.

Stefano Cincotta: He hasn´t done much but, he is the only Guatemalan borned, who has been formed in a european team, and the first born in Guatemala who is pretended to play in another national team, and nothing less than Germany. Also he is the youngest player in our history to have already signed a contact for a Top Level team.

Federico Revuelto: Maybe there is not much information about him, but he was the first player in CONCACAF to play at Spain, and more specifically at Real Madrid, winning "Copa del Rey" because in that time there was no LFP. And was once the top scorer of the tourney.
His way of thinking took him to be president of Real Madrid when he was retired, and he settled the bases for the success of Real Madrid.
Even now we use one of his inventions, and we don´t even know it, and its the term "futbol" traducted to spanish, because of him Real Academia Española authorized the term.
