Any word on how serious it is ?
I was quite worried as soon as he stayed down.
Although he does exagerate touches to get free kicks he's not the sort of player that stays on the floor to loose time.

I read a post on another board that says his injury was thought to be serious. SAF - “We’re sending him for a scan tomorrow," said a concerned Ferguson, "but it looks a bad one. The defender caught him on his knee and thigh." He's getting a scan today... Hopefully just dead leg
to the tune of That's Amore
There's nothing you can do, he'll make a c### of you, Ronaldo, Ronaldo
There's no fecking way you'll take the ball away from Ronaldo, Ronaldo
Oh, he may not be a movie star
But he wears number seven like Cantona
I'm tellin you from the start
He'll tear you all apart, Ronaldo
Ugh...

The annoying thing about this is that it wasn't the trip that caused the injury but the exaggerated fall.
He should be force-fed videos of George Best (one of the most fouled players ever) who always did his utmost to stay on his feet and scored many a goal precisely because he did so.

From football.guardian.co.uk
"There was better news, however, when it emerged that Cristiano Ronaldo's thigh injury might not be as bad as first feared, even though he is unlikely to figure against Manchester City."
So I would suspect a dead leg / heavy bruising.

Ugh. I have a bad feeling about the Man City game (another one!).
Ronaldo might be the best player on the team now. Certainly, he's the most dynamic. The team looked sluggish without him against Porto.

I actually didn't think he exagerated the fall this time. He looked to have pretty legitametly been taken down. I don't know if refs are watching out for his suppossed over exageration or if he just thought the defender got the ball, but it was a bad call in that instance and luckily Ronaldo doesn't appear to be worse for the wear.

Sir Alex Ferguson breathed a sigh of relief on Thursday as results from Cristiano Ronaldo's scan on a thigh injury revealed no break or serious damage.
More details to be given at the Friday press conference.

Oh, come on, the pretty boy was trying to win an Oscar on the way down. Yes there was some incidental contact(he tripped over the guys foot), but to actually leave a CL match because if it? Haha, the boy is a straight up puss(y).

So, I'm a Tool because I call Ronaldo soft? That's typical BS for ya. BTW, I rather be a Tool than a posser like you. And if your talking about tools what drawer of box does bigdush belong in?

First off Paris Hilton doesn't seem to have any tits last time I checked. Maybe you should change your designation from BS moderator to clueless jackass.

Forfuxake, he's only 19 years old and has a small frame as well. Add in that he's coming from Portugal where it's obviously a diving Mecca, and for you to call him a "puss(y)".... do you understand where I am going with this?

So I went a little overboard and used a colorful description of his theatrics. My point is, that it was CL match, if it was only a bruise you couldn't have dragged my a$$ off the pitch let alone be stretchered off. All I'm saying is couldn't have played through the pain?
