For me, this stupid ESPN lovefest finally went too far Sunday with the hype over the spring training game. Peter Gammons comes on a gushes about how special this rivalry has become, when all that's really happened is that a once great rivalry has become so commodified by the likes of him (and he's probably the MAIN pimp here) that now it all feels forced and embarrassing to even care about.

There was that Clemens/Pedro matchup a couple seasons ago at Fenway where Pedro pitched lights out and Clemens got hammered and sent to the showers early. Other than that, I think the rivalry is still going strong.
