OK,

I just watched a video of the T&T/US game from the 1st, and there is both a very noticeable lack of flags and banners hung from the field-level railing and an excess of ussoccer.com advertisements. Please, please tell me that this is because people didn't bring flags to hang and not as a result of ussoccer's obsessive f**king marketing techniques.

I'd tell you that but I'd be lying. I believe they do not allow their own US Soccer wallpaper covered.

plus each stadium is going to have different rules as far as what is permitted or not permitted.

It's always the rule that people can't hang over that damn banner.

4 years ago for the england match at chicago, all of those were coverved with st george flags......10 minutes later ussoccer comes out and rips them down, and steals the flags. they eventually gave them back to the owners, but the england people were pissed!

******** that stupid banner, it will look SO much better with flags and banners instead of that stupid ussoccer.com CRAP!
******** USSF!

It's because of the Nazis at LP Field. We couldn't hang anything up on the railing. Whatever was draped over the railing had to be hand-held. I almost got thrown out of the Morocco game for arguing this with security.

If the US Soccer banner or other ads were there that would be why... don't blame LP field security, blame the idiots at US Soccer.

It's a stadium by stadium situation.

Yes, it's a stadium by stadium situation IF the US Soccer banner or other ads aren't there. If they are there, you won't be allowed to hang anything over it and that is because of the morons at US Soccer.

At least they want you to pay money to join their "official" US Soccer SC.

Another minus mark for them.

Maybe if you're a member of the official club, you get the perk of being able to cover the wallpaper.

Also, MLS is moving to Hartford.

Yeah and the Revolution may someday be significant to more than a couple dozen people.

Yet you still show up at our Open Cup games in New Britain.

When I was hanging a banner I was told specifically that, "US soccer is very protective of their real estate."
