I have returned from Chicago, and it was great a tremendous match for the Gunners with tremendous new friends. The Ginger's guys are great I want to thank Catfish, Detlef and Runes777. Everyone made me feel really welcome. And we shared pints well into the afternoon. The food is also great.
I was also approached by a very cute young lady who asked me if I was "Billyho". I said yes, just but just Billy would be fine. And she said she heard I was a Euro-Snob, and that she was with the Fire and that I should really follow and support MLS . . . and what have you. What was strange is that none of the regulars knew who she was, internet stalker perhaps? Just kidding if you're out, she was sweet about it all.
Anyway if you want a great soccer experience and can't make it to London, try a weekend in Chicago, and thanks again to all the guys at Gingers. I 'll be seeing you guys again soon

I had a blast. You were very cool and it was great for all of us to be there. Sorry that Strongbow wasn't your thing...oh well. You are welcome in my home anytime.
Say hi to the wife and little girl from everyone in Chicago.
Go Gunners and Gunners supporters near and far!

Nope...that was Billy. He spilled beer all over both my coat and your gf's. No biggie, needed to get washed anyway.

Hello from the "very cute young lady" at Gingers. Thanks for the compliment although you make me sound about 6yrs old...
Let me take a moment to introduce myself properly.
I'm a 24 yr old Arsenal fan. I became an Arsenal fan a few years back just to spite an English exboyfriend of mine who was stupid enough to be a Spurs fan. And needless to say, choosing arsenal was one of my most inspired decisions.
I've watched arsenal many times at Gingers and wake up most Saturday mornings anticipating the Irish breakfast. I tend to just find a quiet booth to calmly watch from as Arsenal anihilate the rest of the premier league. I'm usually wearing an away Celtic jersey, or a ratty Fire sweatshirt, or whatever I happen to quickly pickup off the floor that morning in my haste. I tend not to stand out much.
...Perhaps if I drank more I'd be noticed by the "regulars"

I can affirm that you were definately not 6 years old (she really is a hottie), next time I'm there I'll buy you a pint.
And I would like to take a moment to kick Patrick, Doug and the gang for not taking care of this fine Gunner fan on previous occasions.
Though to be fair, It was pretty crowded. Tell us about yourself on the "getting to know the Gunners" thread. See you around.

Billy: I have been to Ginger's more than 10 times this season and I have never seen her before, BUT I usually just run to the bar and hang out with Doug, Gary, and my friend Dave...when I bring him.
Goonergirl: Welcome to Big Soccer! And belly up to the bar with us for a pint and if you dont drink or feel like drinking, just say hey. Great to seen another Gunner in here and at Ginger's!

For the Blackburn game I'll be sure to stand on a chair and announce my presence.... Or maybe I'll just tap ya on the shoulder and say "Hi."
I'll probably just sit myself in a booth and drink a few pots of tea until I'm coherent....not a morning person....
Thanks for welcoming me into the fold!
