So I am 90% with your post, the only place I am divergent with you is that we've got one prominent SG that is anti-Saudi Arabia & Pro-Palestinians/Hamas. The two views are in my mind completely counter. For some, I can see where the two views not diametrically opposed, but I don't see how they could exist next to one another unless there was a genuine bias brought into the thinking from the start.
It seems to me that if you're anti-oppression, then it's easy to be both anti-Saudi and pro-Palestine.
