just finished watching the episode. this was one of those episodes that frustrates the hell out of me. in my zombie world there is no society, there is no "being human," you do whatever and however it takes to survive. i would have shot that outsider immediately.

shane is right, rick is a ********** and cant protect the group. i wish his kid would have died, that shit drives me crazy. in a zombie apocalypse its back to survival of the fittest. dale wanted a society, a justice system and a pseudo government. ******** that shit, you do whats best for yourself. he paid the price.

What I'm excited about, is that Dale had very strong morals and stuck to them. With that sense of morality gone, how will it effect the group when making decisions?

What makes me sad about him, is the fact that his death in the comics was SO awesome, and now they can't do that. I wasn't expecting him to go until like, maybe the 4th or 5th season. But again, no one is safe. Sophia is still alive in the books...

I'm in Rick's camp. He'll come around to being more of a badass, I promise.
I don't think it's as black and white as all that though. It is survival of the fittest. The fittest group. You will have a stronger group if you are all on the same page. I think Dale was on the right track. Maybe the answer lies somewhere in the middle.

the problem was dale was trying to do things that split the group. everyone, EVERYONE, in the group knew what had to be done with the outsider/prisoner. dale was the only one trying to trumpet up some resistance. in a world of zombie infestation you dont have time to sit around, ponder the dilemma, think about right or wrong, WWJD, none of that crap. this is a dog eat dog world now, kill or be killed. you have 5 seconds to think: is this thing a threat to me and the people i love/trying to survive with? yes, ok, kill it. period.

the outsider spilled his guts, he has 30 other people with him, people who have killed and RAPED for no reason. hell if i was Daryl i would shot the guy right when he spilled that info. there is zero reason to keep him around and his sinister motives of trying to get carl to release him sealed the deal.

all of dales pandering, emotion, and morals got him killed, thats the reality. he stormed out, went for a walk into the field and the rest is history. morals have a place in a world where you are at the top of the food chain, where you have a balanced system that can take its time and analyze what is truly right from truly wrong. in a zombie world there is no system, the only thing that matters is surviving. often times the right thing becomes the wrong thing and vice-versa.

You're right, Dale was going against the grain in trying to safe Randall's life, and it did cause contention in the group. In the end, I side with Dale because I'd rather die with my humanity than live without it.

In my eyes, Randall is a threat, but I don't think he will be for long. He definitely showed his true self to Carl, but only Carl knows about it. Randall has a choice in where he wants his loyalties to lie, and I think he could go either way right now. He's a threat, but he'll either become more or less of one. I see them keeping him around, he becomes grateful for them saving his life when his original group left him for dead. Is that wishful thinking? Probably, but that's what I'm hoping for.

Nope, neither is T-Bone (or T-dog or whateverthehellhisnameis), darryl, and merle. Dale doesn't die until issue 60-70 or somewhere around there (and his death is awesome) Sophia is still alive, and there are some other characters that are alive in the show who should have died already (if they were to follow it more closely)

Maybe that's one reason why I'm more upset about Dale's death than 15. I've had a lot more time to come to love him as a character. And I was really looking forward to him dying how he does in the comic. But oh well. It's good that they keep it fresh for everyone, comic nerds or not.

    Michonne!!!!!!!!!!!

Srsly, how awesome was that ending! Save for the hate Rick 'cause he killed Shane crap. Everyone but Carl should've gave Rick a high-five for killing Shane before he got him.
