When Sporting raped Liverpool in the Next-Gen series it showed the difference between Portuguese youngsters and English ones, the skill difference and style of play was immense.

What bro says is correct really, it's a question of do you want them to be better footballers or do you want them to better cope with a single situation. Probably why Portugal has had 2 WPOTY in just over the last decade (Plus players like Rui Costa ect.) and England has had none.

Thats not just a single situation. You will be playing more domestic games than continental games in your career.

Playing against other talented, but naive inexperienced 17 year olds is not really better than playing against older players. Even if they play tiki taka.

But it's also the assumption that all domestic games will be played in that style, it may prepare you to play against someone like Stoke but against Man City or Arsenal? Not so much.

I think one of the big things about the NextGen games is it allows players to focus on the way they play the game not how they come in contact with bigger Physical players.

I think that Both are important, developing English Physicality in the Reserves and then more technical things in Next Gen.

I still say Sporting, since Liverpool will just ruin them and the players will stunt their development and suffer :p At least Sporting get some cash out of it.

Both sides have important points, but I feel like playing against the older folks is better. You can always get taught a lesson by going to tournaments. But as the great bard Sizzla Collungi once said; "dance a-yard before yuh dance abroad"

Match to kick off in about an hour and 45 minutes. No idea if there will be streams. I doubt it.

Do you think Wolves might be tempted to table a bid?

Anything in the range of £1.2 million sounds good to me.

    Hahahahahaha...

Yeah. A while back we were giving Cevno (I think) stick for posting something about Wolves being in for Brady for 1.2M... his internet went wonky and it got posted 4 times. So for the better part of about 80 posts we'd have 1 post on topic and then 3 others mocking the Wolves in for Brady post.

Hopefully we see him in the early FA cup games and the Carling cup on the bench.
