We used to, but under the current phoney presidency the club has gone to shit. Youngsters not getting a sniff and just being sent out on pointless loans, mediocre players in the first team, not owning half the players, money leaking out the many cracks.

    Just in shambles really.

That would need a direction laid out for them, rather than let them figure it out coaching.

Won the Nexlions cup 3rd place match 2-1 with Daehli assisting 1 and scoring 1.

Pearson controlled the game from the accounts i have heard.

Pearson appears to have grown a little (either that or I need glasses).

    Hopefully that trend continues.

Well done Bebe. It was coming. Very good goal and his crosses/corners have been dangerous. Encouraging.

So Bebe might just make it as a professional footballer?

Hopefully Januzaj comes on in the second half.

Wow, Macheda couldn't hit a barn door at the moment.

    That's 2 must score chances he's had.

The first one was on target, the defender did well to block it. That one he should have put away, but it came after some good work.

Petrucci has failed to impress me thus far.

Haha he'll make it at a lower division, or a lower level club if it's in the top division at some league. He isn't that bad, but no way is he making it here.

Should have found him a club by now.

He's been average this game. Hasn't gotten involved enough.

I think Petrucci needs the challenge of first team football.

This whole concept of "they must tear the reserves apart in every game before we even consider them for the first team" doesn't apply to every player.

I've never seen him tear the reserves apart. At all. You should tear the reserves apart occasionally to be even considered.

That's a silly and wasteful philosophy that throws away potentially good players who could be part of a winning system.

United are dominant at the top level, how can someone who cannot dominate several levels below that possibly help us dominate?

Believe it or not the coaching staff at all levels have to actually, you know, do their jobs?

Meaning if a player isn't the next coming of Ronaldo or Messi (a force onto themselves who just has to be set loose upon hapless opposition) then they need to be put in a position to make the best use of the tools that they have available to them.

I wonder how far science and technology would have come if all scientists who weren't the next Einstein were ignored and discarded?

You are being ridiculous. These kids are given a chance to shine amongst their peers. If they cannot, the team is not to blame. We give them every opportunity to shine and that is why more of our products make it somewhere add compared to many other clubs.

Agree with Vince to an extent. When a player like Petrucci is doing well for an extended period of time and hardly even makes the bench in a meaningless first team match, that can't bode well for his confidence. He'll need to show more hunger if he wants to make it at United, but I can see how playing at that level would become tedious. Him and Macheda need a (favorable) change of scenery.

More recently it seems to have worked for Diouf and Eikrem.

Send him to a Parma or Palermo, or back to Sampdoria with Ferrera. Or even the Eredivisie. He needs to polish his skills.

I think he should find a new permanent home. I really never see him making it here. I don't think we'd have purchased Henriquez .

One of the other things I have to agree with Vince on is that a player may not tear the reserves apart because of the players around them, but put them in a team with top class players and they may rise to that level, where as in the Reserves they're limited by the intelligence and ability of those players around them.
