Duberry calls it a day. Always felt he never quite realized his potential but a pretty decent career nonetheless. Cheers, Doobs!! http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/24365397
always a hard working, honest player tbh and my opinion will differ from yours- I think he reached the maximum of his potential and as with other good players was found out in the Prem. Never the quickest on the turn or the best at defending space his ability to man mark was unfortunately not a huge requirement in the Prem.
For me it was more of a sense that his physical attributes were better than the player he was. Agreed he wasn't the quickest but he was pretty mobile for a big body. Always felt he would have been better off with a smaller club first and that his chances with Chelsea came too soon (not that he would have displaced Desailly or I Won The World Cup). Given who he was behind at Chelsea and then Leeds (Woodgate and Rio were excellent at the time), that's what makes me think that he could have had more success with more first team opportunities at a mid/lower table club. Like you say an honest hard worker.
agreed he would have probably had a more stable career at a lower/mid table club where he may have progressed into a better player

very small amount of former players have negative things to say about the club and most of them were twats regardless
