And he stalled and stalled over that move.

The interest was high in him anyway and think Lolo and the board realised this, and so did Cana. I definetly think this guy was a firts team player. Rotation between him and Landrin does not mean 2nd choice imo. I think he overreacted and decided to move too hastily.

I'm pissed off that they've cashed in, but I'm equally as pissed at his destination of clubs. He knows better than this...

    But what can you do?

I don't see how a move to Marseille will benefit him. It's a backward step for him imo.

....and to continue on Cana....I don't know how much this is true but I heard that Byern was interested in him during the offseason....

A lot of EPL clubs were interestd in him too.

But to be honest. Marseille are always in transition and always seem to underperform. If he had gone to England, Italy or Germany I would have a lot more respect than I do for him now.

Don't get me wrong, I'm annoyed. It's no doubt like seeing a Red Star player going to Partizan. No matter, the sitaution he will be a hate figure regardless.

It's a backward step going to Marseille. I don't think he'll benefit. But good luck if he proves me wrong. I won't clap him at the Parc however.

But let's remember Fabrice Fiorese. ;)

....dude why don't u chill and mind your own business....I am here for one reason and one reason alone and thats Cana....and if I'm not mistaken the question was directed to somebody else or is that to hard for you to comprehend.....anyways your general football knowledge doesn't even compare to mine....maybe as far as French football .....but that's it...but than again I never found French football interesting.....

No matter what u think is interesting, dont insult others' interests.
I dont think its interesting that all people love AC Milan or Real Madrid. Even small clubs have their fans.
You can love Manchester United, Real Madrid, AC Milan, or any BIG club that has a long history and won many cups, like everyone else, thats ur choice. But my choice is PSG.

Exactly real. Cana has made a stupid move in my opinion... Like Ganu pointed out, Marseille are always in transition buying players such as Martlet or at least trying to, buy Malouda for an expensive price then loaning him out, then buying Oruma from Sochaux and he has been underperforming as well... And yes my hometown beat L'OM. What a sweet victory... :D

    Allez PSG toujours

Cana chose l'OM because he wanted more playin time. He was out of Fournier's favor (who puts Mbami ahead of him). Every player wants to be on the pitch, not on the bench.

I rate Cana as one of the best defensive midfielders in Le Championnat. I think he made a pretty wise decision.

    Two words.

    Benoit Pedretti.

So yeah, good luck with Cana for 2006/07... Hope he does well at the Gerland. ;)

He already knew about the competition when he chose us. What Pedretti wanted was european football. That's why he decided to leave OM..

Every fan wants loyal players. But most players put their concerns ahead. It's a sad reality. Like you lost Cana, we lost Essien in the same way

Leaving Lyon to Chelsea is a lot different than going from PSG to Marseille imo...

Yeah, you're right. That's a whole different story. I understand why you're so upset.

I agree with Ganu... Leaving Lyon for Chelsea is a different matter. Cana won't succeed I guarantee it. I bet you he leaves L'OM for Bastia, Troyes or any other smaller club in 2 seasons after seeing Marseille won't be going anywhere.

....maybe he won't maybe he will....I guess we'll have to see won't we.....but none of us know what's best for him.....he knew his situation and decided to act upon it....time will tell if he was wrong or right......but for what is worth he did love PSG and the fans of it...but football is not like it used to be, it's a big business and long are the days gone when players would stay loyal to the club just for the love of it....it's all about the green these days and you have clubs like Chelsea to prove that......

That's true hooligan as well... But Marseille aren't the side they used to be. They have the same hype as Liverpool in England, but they haven't won that many big trophies since their glory days in the early nineties. So okay, Liverpool did win the CL last year but how many times have they won the league in the last 15 years? Therefore it is a club with a major history but it's stuck mid-table and if they challenge for the top spots, Lyon are already gone. But we'll see if Marseille can turn things around. Just look at the players Marseille have who have come and gone, Mido, Drogba, just to name a few and those two have somewhat succeeded but many would question that. It's just that look at Oruma for example or Malouda, or Martlet. Paid major money and they haven't done anything. Same goes for Pedretti, comes in for one season, sees the club isn't going anywhere and leaves for Lyon....

Everything that happens here is my business.

I think you've satiated yourself. Go ******** up some other board.

And neither Cana nor PSG consulted you on this move, yet you drone on and on about it...

Okay, guy. You have no idea how much ignorance you're demonstrating right now, nor to whom you're posting. Not everybody who posts on BS.com is a fan, my hebetudinous compatriot; some of us have worked IN world football, at the highest levels, for years. I'm one of the latter. So move on while you're ahead, genius.

    Did you read Ljubo's comments?

Ljubo didn't go to Marseille. He could have, there was speculation to the point of actually sealing the deal. It would have been a comfortbale move for him (language, lifestyle, culutre etc). But no. He respected the PSG fans and understood what it would mean for them to see him in the colours of Marseille.

Cana has no loyalities whatsoever and trying to say there aren't any in the game of football anymore, when you see what Ljubo has done is totally inaccurate.

...question was not directed toward you.....

....like I said the only reason I'm here is Cana, and as long as he keeps being mentioned I will be here.....

....actually I'm not concerned abou it at all, I'm glad he moved to OM....

....you have worked IN world football.... I don't know and I don't deny it....yet you are stuck posting on internet boards, trying to parade how good your dictionary memorization skills are.....and to whom....people that to mostly, english is their second langauge.....talk about being ignorant......
