Defense: sell Sagna, Squillaci, Djourou. Squillaci is well past his prime - he's like a different player compared to his Monaco and Lyon days. Djourou is a clown - Arsenal's version of Titus Bramble.

Midfield: get rid of Diaby - this guy is a useless bum. Send Coquelin and Frimpong out on loan. Denilson's already gone, no? I quite like Rosicky. He gets a lot of criticism for some reason, but was a very important player last season. I'd want him to stay to provide back-up to the midfield.

Forwards: sell Van Persie for a big profit - it seems he doesn't want to stay. Walcott is not a footballer, he's a sprinter: poor end product, poor technique, can't finish, no intelligence. I'm also not convinced by Oxlade-Chamberlain, who looks like Walcott 2.0. These two overrated, overpriced England players could result in huge profits for Arsenal. Perhaps the idiots running Liverpool would take Walcott for €25-30 mil, and someone else could take Oxlade for at least €15 mil. Chamakh and Park do not belong at a big club: Chamakh has become a punchline, while Park is not good enough even in training to get any game time. I quite like Bendtner and would make him part of my front-line. When the lad is given the chance, he delivers. He's already got 9 UEFA CL goals in 1650 minutes (18 games' worth). In the Premier League, he's got 22 goals with Arsenal in about 4200 minutes (46 games' worth). I don't see why Wenger hates him so much? He is big, tall, athletic, and has great technique. Ryo Myaichi is a gem - send him out on loan for a few more seasons so he gets some playing time. Carlos Vela seems to have made good progress, so I'd bring him in the first team.

Who the hell is Joel Campbell and what is he doing on this squad?? Is football even played in Costa Rica - I don't know a single one of their players. What's Wenger thinking by bringing in such players?

    So to summarize:

    Defense: sell Sagna, Djourou, Squillaci.
Midfield: sell Diaby. Loan Coquelin and Frimpong.
Forwards: sell V Persie, Walcott, Oxlade, Chamakh, Park, Campbell. Loan Myaichi.

I'd bring in Jan Vertonghen and Antoine Griezmann for a combined 20£mil. Vermaelen and Vertonghen could form an unstoppable partnership, and Griezmann looks like he'll be Ribery's successor at the international level.

Also, some £100 mil could be made from sales V Persie, Walcott, Chamberlain, Diaby, Sagna, which could be to buy a lot of new players.

***I forgot to include Gervinho in the list of players to sell. He has failed to impress and does not deserve to be in the squad.

    So,
    ---Szczesny
    Jenkinson--Vermaelen--Vertonghen--Santos
    Wilshere--Song--Arteta
    Podolski--Giroud--Griezmann

On the bench would be: Mertesacker, Koscielny, Rosicky, Bendtner, Vela, Arshavin

    A pretty good line-up.

Now that you mention Griezmann, I wonder if we could maybe work out a player swap with Vela. Those two developed a bromance at Real, it'd be a shame to split them up, but it may be the only way they could afford Vela.

    Borderline: Ramsey

Who to buy is trickier. Assuming that we retain our current players and add Giroud, I think we're pretty well-stocked at forward and winger. I think Campbell and Miyaichi can be our emergency depth. If not, ship them out on loan to another EPL club and let them fight for a job in another year.

I don't think we need Vertonghen. We're fine at CB.

I would spend the remaining money at d-mid, attacking mid, and fullback. If everyone is healthy we already have a great midfield three in Wilshere, Song, and Arteta. However, we need depth at every spot. I'm not totally sold on M'vila, but if he's as good as everyone says he is then he would be a quality addition. We could use another player who can not only stop attacks, but also contribute with his deep-lying playmaker abilities. The guy that I really want this Summer is Younes Belhanda. I think he is the real gem of Montpellier and a player with true difference-maker qualities in the attack. His pace and athletic ability would give us a new attacking dimension in the midfield.

I like Sagna and Gibbs as our starters at fullback, with Santos being a shaky, but serviceable backup on the left. I don't think we have an urgent need here, but I'm not sold on Jenkinson's present or future. Given the durability issues our starters have, I'd like to see us bring in a young backup to eventually take over on the right. Who might that be? I have no idea, but with scouts all over the world, I'm sure we could find someone who fits the bill.

Sagna is a borderline world class full back. Koscienly dropped? lmao..

For what it's worth, i would sell Denilson, Bendtner, Vela, Diaby and Arshavin.
