MFK Mykolaiv outgunned Avanhard Kramatorsk 4-3 yesterday to stay in Persha Liha for a little longer....

The problem for them is that failed attestation with the PFL having a good look at their finances after a few players complained about not getting paid during the season.

Anyone heard that the Premier League this coming season will have an Under-19 competition?

No more "-2" and "-3" teams playing in Druha liha, so we may see some more consolidation in the Druha liha.

I think they already have an U-21 competition no? As for the Dynamo-2s Shakhtar-3s I'm all for disbanding that crap.

The Premier League Reserves competition exists but it isn't solely for U-21s.

The rumour is that there will be a 3rd competition for U-19s.

Patrick van Leeuwen confirmed that information, U-19 start right the next season, finally, since it's hard to adapt smoothly for majority of players who forced to fight for the main squad position straightly from U-17, especially for those in the non-UPL clubs with no "-2 and -3" farm clubs.

However, there will be some "-2" teams in Druha Liha...

Teams which compete in the Persha liha may want to keep their reserve teams there.
FC Sevastopol-2 and the newly accepted into the PFL - FC Poltava-2.

Yesterday the preliminary rounds of the YKPAIHIAH Cup were drawn...

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2012–13_Ukrainian_Cup#First_Preliminary_Round_.281.2F64.29

Also the seedings for the Druha Liha (two groups were announced)

    A couple of notes:
Nyva Vinnytsia withdrew from the PFL and from the Persha Liha due to insufficient funds. They've been battling to stay afloat for a couple of seasons and they pulled the plug.
To replace them Avanhard Kramatorsk were promoted due to winning the Druha liha playoff match. Hence after one season in Druha Liha they are in Persha Liha.

    New teams in Druha Liha:

Bastion Illichivsk - return after an absence of a year ( I guess the owner found some stashed money to rejoin the league)

FC Ternopil - former reserve team of Nyva Ternopil now has a backing of the city administration and will now contest a city derby for bragging rights in Ternopil (I just wonder how long this last before one of these teams actually folds).

SCA Odesa - after an absense of 13 years this club returns to the PFL, but its not clear how much the army is involved in Odesa with this club. Basically some of the former players have decided to spend some time coaching...

FC Poltava-2 Karlivka - Reserve team of newly promoted FC Poltava will play in Karlivka 50km outside of Poltava.

Zhemchuzhyna Yalta - Pearl United ?!!!! -Fenix-Illich resurrected after they attempted to get a free ticket into Persha Liha.

The Premier League U-19 competition kicked off today.

    2 Groups divided geographically.

14 games played in the first stage.

In the second stage which will be played in the spring the top 4 from the 2 groups in stage one will play for the title while the others will play for 9-16th place.

A quick update on the Persha Liha...

Today the 3rd Round completed and some interesting notes to take into account.

    • All 3 promoted teams from Druha Liha won (Avanhard Kramartors'k, FC Poltava & FC Sumy)
    • Only 9 goals scored in 9 games (three scoreless draws and four 1-0 games)
    • High flyers with high expectation FC Sevastopol and yObolon Kyiv have yet to win a game this season.
    • High attendance thus far is 9,700 in Sumy (some Premier teams could dream about this)
    • Dynamo-2 Kyiv has lost their first three games (Rumor has it that this may be the last season for the team since the PL has the reserve and U-19).
Нинішній сезон може стати останнім для «Динамо-2»

Thank God it's their last season. The Dynamo-2, Shakhtar-3 bull shit has to end it's so damn stupid. So if they leave the 1st league, will there be another team promoted? They better not count it as one of the relegated teams. I want no team in the First League getting a free ticket in the 1st League because of this after finishing like 2nd last lol

Whats been happening is that teams disband and become defunct rather than get relegated from Persha Liha.

This year Enerhetyk Burshtyn and FC Lviv were supposed to get relegated.
Enerhetyk folded with 2 games to go last season knowing full well that would not field a team.
FC Lviv could not confirm sponsorship and withdrew from the PFL one day before the start of the Druha Liha season.

Nyva Vinnytsia also withdrew from the PFL after last season. They were given a repreieve by the PFL and after the oblast was thinking of supporting the PFL gave them a chance to reenter the Druha Liha. Also one day before the season the oblast decide not to support the team and was withdrawn from the PFL.

FC Sumy have got the facilities to becoming a PL team but they need to consolidate their position in the Persha Liha. Last week they got their first victory. In fact all 3 promoted won their games...

On the otherhand FC Sevastopol and yObolon Kyiv are winless.

Reporting the first death of the season.

Former PL team Obolon Kyiv have been withrawn from the PFL.

President Slobodyan informed that sponsorship has been withdrawn.

Looks like there have some mispropriatries done within the management of the club.

Mediocre performance thus far from the club in the first half of the season ending in 13th when they were withdrawn.

This has been confirmed as Obolon Kyiv withdrew from the PFL today during the attestation meeting citing insufficient funds. The reserve team, which had been playing in Druha Liha also withdrew from their competition.

The club has a sports school in Bucha outside of Kyiv. The club had grown from it grass roots youth club in the early 90's. I had gone to see the club play at their home twice in my last trips to Kyiv. A nice stadium that should not go to waste.

I think the club will resurrect itself in some form in the future...

    Obolon have reformed....

Played their first game in the Amateur competition of 2013 as Obolon-Brovary with a 0-0 against Avanhard Korjukivka at Obolon Arena...

Most probably we'll see them in Druha Liha next season.

I was hoping these Dynamo-2/Shakhtar-3 teams would fold already...

Also would be nice to have Nyva back in the First League, and Desna is back which is good.

    I mentioned that match prematurely...

Shaxtar Sverdlovsk scored in the 97' of their game against Kremin Kreminchuk and won 2-1 finishing in 2nd place instead of Shaxtar-3.

So Dynamo-2 will face Shaxtar Sverdlovsk.

That was so awful for ukrainian football. Referee just killed Kremin with that penalty on 98' so sverdlovsk could play @ play-off. Also there was just 5 added minutes (for like no reason). What a disgrace.

From all comments I've read about this game it definitely seems like the referee/league wanted Shaxtar Sverdlovsk with a chance to advance to Persha Liha...

The game had no meaning for Kremin, but Shaxtar-3 were on the chopping block.

    Another death to report....

Krymteplytsya Molodizhna withdrew from the PFL and will only be involved with youth teams.

PFL has got a bit fiddling to do now with who is going to be in Persha Liha.

    Kryvbas is not a certainty.

Hoverla should pass certification and stay in the PL.

The problem that the PFL has is that it has Dynamo Kyiv-2 scheduled to start their promotion playoff games against Shax. Sverdlovsk tomorrow but in theory now that Krymteplytsia is gone they should remain in Persha Liha. This would imply that Arsenal Bila Tserkva would be the playoff team. I reckon they're scrambling to organize what their schedule of games should be.

FC Obolon-Brovar applied for attestation into the PFL for the upcoming Druha Liha season.

    Enerhiya Mykolaiv also did.

Arsenal Bila Tserkva renamed themselves to FC Kyivshchyna. (mhehe hehe hehe)
