Running out to the office right now but I will say this. Excellent season with Mainz the season before last and with Germany U21 and senior team. His last year with Leverkusen he struggled to get into the system a bit and did not produce as well as was expected. I think his second season at Bayer Leverkusen will tell us more. Definetly a gifted player.

Story made up by Barca to rattle Chelsea. I doubt it will impact Drogs at all. He wants to win the trophy.

I'm intrigued by Schürrle. He is from Germany and strikers from the Bundesliga seem to do well in the BPL. We also need another striker. I'm feeling better about Lukaku staying next season as it seems more and more likely that Didier is on his way out. If we keep Didier, loan out Lukaku, and sign another striker.

Even if we get rid of Drogba, Lukaku should be loaned out.

Interesting we haven't heard any rumors about our right back situation since we're so poor there. Nothing since Azpilicueta and the random Van Der Wiel stuff.

He has only had one season with Leverkusen so I'm sure he will not be going anywhere anytime soon unless stupid money is offered. Because Leverkusen, like Wolfsburg, are the only clubs with coorporate support (Bayer and Wolksvagen) in Germany, they don't really need the money.

I only brought up Schürrle because of an interview he did. He mentioned he would be interested in move to Chelsea if he were to have a chance.

Where would you like to see him loaned out to? Also, what do we do for cover?

Maybe they also think they don't really need Schürrle, who has been a flop for them so far.
However, Löw recently said that he knows exactly why it didn't work out for Schürrle in Robin Dutt's system, and he just needs some minor corrections and tactical advice, and will be in top form in a few weeks in Löw's Mannschaft.
I'd describe Schürrle as a young poor man's Henry. A fast striker with a very good shot; 50% of his goals look like "dribbling from the left wing to the center, shot from 20-25 meters to the far upper corner".

So with the likes of Kalou, Malouda, and a load of others out this summer, let's start the speculation on who won't be here next season.

You also have to figure Ferreria won't be back. I wouldn't mind Bosingwa moved with Hutchinson as a deputy to Ivan. Reigns also seems likely out.

    A lot of changes coming?

Sorry, forgot to add, sounds like Kalou won't reup his contract, most likely the clubs decision. He is lookup to head back to Feyenoord.

    no worries

I suspect as the players leave/are sold that threads acknowledging and in some cases celebrating their departure will be up

This I don't quite understand. If Drogba stays, another striker is really just the last thing we need. With Drogba, Torres, Sturridge, and Lukaku all trying to get games in a one-striker system, I don't quite see how adding Cavani or anybody else in that position would be a good use of money.

Much better to invest in a quality backup RB, a winger, and a combative midfielder to replace Meireles (two of those if Essien is also sold).

    this

lads we just won a Double after the initial hire almost ran our season into the ground completely

we do need to upgrade and make some changes but as maurtin says lets find the key areas instead of adding to areas where we are strong and pretty deep

seems to be round 3 with him but as with the previous link- Citeh allegedly are not selling to us

talk of him going to Sunderland

perhaps we can loan O'Neil a player or two (Lukaku/McEachearn) and then buying AJ from them in Jan.

For £250k+ a week, I'd give Hazard a miss! Just makes no sense and every other player we sign from then on in (and also existing players like Terry) would ask for a massive payrise!

If we can get Hulk for £30mln and paying him more reasonable wages, then let's just settle with him.

Looks like Hazard's agents are trying to milk as much money out of this as possible.

We need someone who can play RB as a backup, and we need someone to take over from Meireles.

That's all. Don't forget De Bruyne and Marin are now playing for the European Champions.

De Bruyne towards the end of the season apparently impressed immensely in a more central role. A possible heir to Lamps perhaps.

Adding Marin to the mix will be another great option.
