Mathew Wagner @Mathew_Wagner3h Julian Green's had quite a nice start to the 2013-2014 season. First, a CL appearance, now a spot on 23-man roster for Club WC.

The article says he's a relatively new arrival to the US, so likely not a citizen but worth a mention, anyway. Played for Bolivia's U17s this year. More recently, he has joined the DA for Nomads and has 7 goals in his first 4 games.
Bshredder's recent ASN interview with Jeremy Toljan of Hoff, Hoff, Hoff..............Hoffenheim: http://www.americansoccernow.com/articles/jeremy-toljan-is-earning-minutes-at-hoffenheim To me this sounds like one that's a long shot.
Veeeeeery interesting on that kid Saul. He's been in the US a little over 1 year and has played for Bolivia's youth teams. If he has a chance to play for the US I am sure he'd take it. Bolivia's NT is a joke right now... He seems very talented. Anynoe have video of his play?
So he came from Jaime Moreno/Marco Etcheverry's background, Tahuichi which for those that don't know, was at one point one of the best youth developers in south america in the 80s and early to mid 90s. I also was coached by the guys who were Jaime and Marco's coach during the 90s/early 00s. Blame them for how I see/look at the game. Before he left for USA he probablyt was inline to play pro w/Oriente Petrolero the team Alejandro Melean ex' Holy Cross soccer player (Bolivian-American) who has represented Bolivia but could have played for USA. He describes himself as an offensive right winger/ forward. My guess is he's a supporting striker but has speed to play on the wings if needed. Damn Cristiano Ronaldo. He's stopping the production of kids looking to be '10s' like I and many others looked to be growing up!
And he seems to have changed his direction: US U17 Residency have also added Raheem Taylor Parkes. @RaheemTaylorPar spent time with Toronto FC Academy last Fall #usynt— Joey (@USAprospects) January 6, 2014
According to his Wikipedia page, Samuel Adjei out of Iona and the Red Bulls Academy, played for the US U18. His father was an Olympic bronze medalist with Ghana. In 2012, he was invited to a Ghana camp for U20 players: http://www.myvisionradio.com/2012/0...-bull-usa-interview-before-leaving-for-ghana/ I played for the United States U-14 national team and later for the U-18 national team. Leading up to the U-20 World Cup in 2013, I had a dilemma of which country to represent and I decided I would go to whichever country came calling first. Ghana was the first to do so and by the time the United States called, I was already committed to Ghana. Unfortunately, I missed out the tournament due to an injury. It was a hard time for me, but injuries are part of football and I am back doing what I love the most at a high level and that is what matters.

Apologies if I missed this, but apparently American-born '97 Abuchi Obinwa was a prospect for Nigeria last year -- and then failed an age scan test. In some Nigerian circles they seem hot on snagging him but based on the interview with his father in the BBC article below, that ain't happening soon. http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/24282432 http://www.supersport.com/football/blogs/emeka-enyadike/Focus_on_Abuchi_Obinwas_talents He was called into our U18 system earlier this year. http://www.ussoccer.com/news/u-18-mnt/2014/01/140103-jan-camp-roster-rel.aspx http://ussda.demosphere.com/teams/60852305/47187184-60852392/53340541.html
You have to love this comment on one of the articles: What is Nigeria waiting for. Coaches should invite this lad immediately before he start seeing himself as an American. You mean the kid born & raised in the US and playing on US national U-xx teams might eventually see himself as American?
Snip: Ghanaian-born American striker Silas Twumasi is determined to help South Bronx United to win the Junior MLS title this season as well as earn a Black Satellites call-up. ... “I want to play for the Ghana Under-20 and I hope the coaches will start monitoring some of us here.” The rising talent was born in Ghana but moved to America with his parents whilst still a child. http://www.ghanaweb.com/GhanaHomePage/SportsArchive/artikel.php?ID=303866 http://www.goal.com/en-gh/news/4389...-american-silas-twumasi-wins-goal-king-in-usa
