    First goal very pretty.

2nd is hilarious. That might be the worst D I've ever seen.

I actually think the 2nd goal took quite a bit if skill regardless of the defense. Staying composed in the box like that is tough.

Since the goal tally for Yanks Abroad this season has been dismal, I'll add that Jose Torres scored for Tigres in their 3-0 win over Cruz Azul tonight.

Brek's loan was just terminated due to an incident with fans. That is pretty devastating to his chances to make the 23 this summer

Jon Bornstein went 90 minutes again for Atlante last night in CopaMX action. He has also been coming off the bench in LigaMX games..

Still just 29 years old, just saying.

He's played a total of 120 minutes in Liga MX in the past 4 seasons and was an unused sub in Atlante's last 2 league games.

Suggesting Bornstein should be on the WC squad should be grounds for a ban from this forum. :D

Some of these other posters are putting up even more ridiculous names. At least Bornstein was good at one point.

Greg Garza was really good in both of the CCL games against LA

I think he deserves a NT call up for The Mexico game

    Spoiler for Xolos-LA Galaxy result.

Garza will be playing in the CONCACAF Champions League semifinals, so whether or not he deserves a call-up for the Mexico game, he'll be busy with his club team instead.

I agree. Greg's been playing well pretty much anytime he's gotten the opportunity for Xolos over the past 2 seasons and he's now won Castillo's starting spot under their new manager. He doesn't offer quite as much going forward as Castillo but he's no slouch in that department. He picks and chooses his spots to overlap wisely and he's much, much sturdier defensively.

He's almost 1 and 1/2 year younger than Chris Klute and naturally left footed as well.

What's funny is I believe Klute and Garza were teammates on the Dallas Texans as teenagers. Omar Gonzalez may have been on that team as well.

That era of the Dallas Texans was absurdly good.

It should be noted that arguably the top U20 fullback is also a Texan (Kellyn Acosta). When we secede from the US, the Texas backline is going to be killer. When we did our most recent "Battle of the States," Texas was getting close to competing with California. Too bad Holden is out, or the midfield would have been absurd as well. Although perhaps Dillon Powers can take his place.

If Kellyn Acosta is top u20 we are in trouble. We must be really, really bad.

Saw Garza pull away from Zardes yday which isnt saying that much because Zardes is pretty slow. However, Garza was dribbling the ball.

continuing in a lousy week for USMNT defensive prospects, Cameron responsible for probably the softest goal hes given up all year early on.

I wouldn't say it was all his fault..he got beat by his man who sent in the cross, but Benteke (not his man) was wide open in the middle

thats true, but he deserves a sizable portion of the blame. Benteke was served on a silver platter. Looks like hes sporting a bit of a shiner right now too.
