For what it's worth, I thought Dyer from Swansea was really good, too. Wouldn't be surprised if Rodgers tries to bring him to Liverpool - he'd be a nice replacement for Kuyt.

Bendtner to lead Denmark to be European Champions and win the golden boot, thereby financing the biggest splash of ArseCash anyone's ever seen. Double-winners 2012-13. Book it.

I'd rather have Bendtner than Chamakh or Park.

I certainly wouldn't mind Dempsey but he's not really a holding mid that dictates play.

A few weeks ago, I heard mention that Arsene was ready to spend 35 million plus on a player, the same amount previously earmarked for Goetze. Then, I heard the Lille president say a fourth team outside Chelsea and the Manchester clubs were ready to sign Hazard. He didn't name the fourth team, but I doubt it was Stoke. Many journalists claimed the fourth club was Arsenal.

Lately, I've read that 8.5m Euros and Chamakh was the agreed fee for Giroud.

I'm holding on to the hope that all the above is true.

Giroud, maybe. Pretty much no chance on Hazard — Chelsea isn't official-official, but looks like a done deal.

Bruce Willis will be at your door armed with a loaded MAC-10 for making such a farfetched suggestion.

Yann M'Vila has done his ankle ankle in the friendly against Serbia and it is looking likely he may miss Euro 2012.

    Welcome to the Arsenal?

Definitely not Diaby 2.0...... He has missed too many games the last 3 years. Had a sprained ankle today, freak accident.

Given that both his wife and mother have publicly urged RVP to stay at Arsenal, I personally would be very surprised to see RVP leave. Either RVP is one seriously hen pecked husband or this was all a pre-meditated media move by RVP. I personally believe that RVP wants to return and wants it done pretty quickly.

    Why? Seems reasonable.

    1. RVP's family has publicly stated that he should stay with Arsenal.
    2. RVP is aware of what a long drawn out contract negotiation does. It will effectively prevent the club from making any other significant moves. If RVP really does want to stay, he is going to want to do whatever he can to help improve the team.

Now this may not be the case but it is an entirely reasonable view.

Wenger reminds me of Bill Walsh, who won three super bowls with the San Francisco 49's in the 1980s. Walsh got rid of players a year early, rather than a year late. He did it with Ronny Lott and Roger Craig, two Hall of Fame players. Wenger has done it with Tierry Henry and Patrict Viera, (just to name two) both of whom left Arsenal before they turned 30. Their subsequent careers weren't on the same level as their careers at Arsenal. I won't be surprised if he does it with Van Persie too. Van Persie will be 29 next year and his history of injuries has kept him from reaching his full potential until this year. If Wenger receives a high enough bid for Van Persie, he may take the money and invest in a younger striker. Someone like Giroud or the new rumor of the week, Doumbia.
