I wonder if we are really interested in Giroud. In his highlights all he ever does is head the ball.

Not sure he's an upgrade over Chamakh at all. He just plays in a weaker league and happens to be scoring at the moment.

You'll have to point out to me where he said that Balotelli sucks?

actually, he seems much much more versatile than chamakh.
even before chamakh came i said he looked like a player who would hold up the ball rather than be an outright scorer, but giroud seems to have more of a scoring instinct and a lot more agility. he also seems to be able use his right foot fairly well and what's wrong with a forward who can head?
whether he can keep on scoring is another question, but he stepped up from ligue 2 to ligue 1 and kept on scoring.

Giroud is miles ahead of Chamakh. I saw him a couple of months ago leading France attack against Germany. He scored one goal and was dominant. He is very strong but also very agile and seems to be an intelligent player. Apparently, Gilles Grimandi has been following him for a while now on behalf of Arsenal and I am sure they have determined he has what it takes to play for the Gunners.
By the way, that " weaker league" perception is baloney. The last time I checked most of the of players coming from League 1 are performing very well in the EPL. Sagna and Kos came from France and among the best at their positions. Cabaye and Ben Arfa at NUFC are top players and fitted seamlessly there.

ligue 1 is inferior but the best players can play anywhere

we should be looking more towards the bundesliga imo

Its below the premier league, but not by that much. Its comfortably the 5th best league in Europe, and its not far behind Italy and Germany.

Assumed the "/s" was inferred. Song is great but not at Sneijder's level in attack.

13 goals in 23 games or whatever it was allows people to overlook your "attitude". Same with Hazerd he can do what the fuhk he wants because he produces btw the lines.

Lol. Firstly, no it doesn't, and secondly, to compare what Hazard has said with Balotelli is like comparing chalk and cheese.

Prem and Spain are miles ahead of the others, Germany would be third, then serie a then the French league.

Look how shit French sides do in the cl, especially since the Lyon days

So, it is reported that Hazard has made up his mind and will "tweet" the result today at 4 pm UK time, 10 am local time here. Louis Saha apparently said it is the Chavs.

Miles ahead? I am willing to bet you have never watched a Ligue 1 game. EPL is the better league in Europe but there is no " Miles ahead" between the top 5 leagues. That is just nonsense.

Umm no all this "attitude" sh*t is stupid and only matters to fans. No one cares, not anyone who matters i.e. coaches, front office, owners, etc. If you are talented enough you can do whatever you want IF you produce btw the lines. Yeah Balotelli is going to be sold into Bolivian because no one likes his attitude.

The reason guys are sold off is because they stop producing OR there is a better alternative to them. If that is not the case they can carry on doing what they please. Whether you like it or not. Them's the breaks

I dont think the premiership is miles ahead of anyone

La Liga had a better performance in Europe last year.

la liga and the prem are ahead of the other leagues with la liga doing better in europe, but i think the prem is a better league for entertainment and will become more dominant with shitty

yeah, prem and bundesliga are probably the most entertaining leagues in Europe.

I would boost up Serie A, but they are in the middle of another match fixing scandal.

Ahh, I didnt realise that getting yourself sent off and leaving your team with 10 men or being lazy on the pitch only mattered to fans. I always thought that kinda thing meant something to the manager too. Actually, you know what, I think it does.

So, yeah, Balotelli is a very skill player, and has the potential to be a real star of the future, but I suspect he was also pretty close to being dumped by his manager because of his attitude... on the pitch
