I don't follow international football, so I have no vested interest in buying a Dempsey Arsenal shirt.

We cant all have ball dribbling midget tricksters. I think the key is--can we clear out the riff raff??? If so, we need a direct goal player. Clint is much better in this regard than Yossi. Why exactly is Yossi on this team??

If we can clear out the riff raff, I have problem with signing Clint.

Falcao is not an option. He will cost over 35 M Euros and Arsene will never pay that kind of money for a player. In addition he is a traditional CF and we already have RVP there, with Podolski about to join.

    my wishlist homie.
i realize the costs associated with each player.
i'm talking about actually trying to win a title, not get 4th.

Fulham is probably gonna want close to 10 million for Demps. That's well beyond both what we'd pay and what he's worth. For 5 million it would be worth it.

If Bendtner wasn't so Bendtnery I'd like to have him back. Chamack was supposed to be that, but he's crap.

Bendtner is not as shit as we think but I don't think he'll ever play for us again. Clint will go for 12-15m and is worth it.

Podolski, Vertonghen, Belhanda, Marvin Martin is what I'm hoping for this summer. None of them are out of our price range.

My god it carries over lol no more dempsey bs now.

if we get Lucas p, we still need vertonghen and possibly an older versatile full back. then bring hoilett on a free, and the playmaker issue is the last to be sorted and we can challenge!

I think most people don't rate Bendtner's attitude, not his playing ability.

This is no longer accurate, the atmosphere was excellent throughout the Euro qualifying campaign. We lost second place due to some major lapses in concentrations late on in games (no team dropped more points from winning positions than Belgium). Mind you, I'm still not convinced that nonchalant style has completely been purged out of the team, I think it's part of their DNA to a certain extent. So I wouldn't dare to guarantee we will qualify for Brazil '14.

    Thanks for the wishlist, homie.

Just don't get why we would spend 35 to 40 M on Falcao when we already have the best CF available at this position and a top notch one in the pipeline.
If Arsenal would ever spend this kind of money, it would be on a position where help is really needed (attacking midfielder comes to mind).

I thought this post was worth being repeated here since it ended up being the last post in the previous transfer thread.

These are excellent points. The more accurate lament is that Clint spent 3 years at Furman, not that he spent 3 years in MLS.

Who are you referring to? We've got great wing talent but I think our CF prospects pale in comparison.

Whats the max Arsenal have ever spent? Something like 15.8 mill quid (around $20 mill).

    Yeah, Falcao is not happening.

We could of used Dempsey yesterday. Walcott is worthless when we are behind and Yossi can head the ball for shit

Theo is such a strange player.

When he's on we love him. After games like today we can't stand him.

Interesting piece on Dembélé that supports thebigman's claims about his possible worth to a top four team in spite of his paltry goals/assists return.

dembele is like a fit diaby

dempsey is a good player, but doesn't fit us

ben arfa or sessengon are better choices especially sessengon s he has an eye for goal

Well I wasn't equating them, I just thought the article tied in nicely with thebigman's point about his qualities as a ball-carrying middie.
