It may get even better with FSN starting up a new Fox Sports San Diego station for the Padres. Hopefully the Xolos talk to them about getting on the network. That would give Club Tijuana not only the FMF's normal spanish language boradcasts that make their way north, but also an English language outlet to spread interest in them to at least SD and Imperial Counties.
The only Mexican First Division club that does TV deals in Mexico and the U.S. separately is Chivas Guadalajara. Chivas' deal with Telemundo for the U.S. rights runs through June 2012. All the other Mexican First Division clubs sell their TV rights on a worldwide basis to either Televisa or TV Azteca. Televisa licenses U.S. TV rights to either Univision Networks or Telemundo TV Azteca sublicenses to Univision Networks, FOX Sports Int'l (FOX Deportes in the U.S.), or ESPN Int'l (ESPN Deportes in the U.S., ESPN or ESPN DOS or ESPN+ in Latin America.) It'll be interesting to see what the Xolos will do with their TV rights if they were promoted. TV Azteca would want the rights on a worldwide basis, but the Xolos might want to cut their own deal in the U.S. separately the way Chivas Guadalajara do.
It would definitely benefit them as a young team that is closer to the US border than any other FMF team (and a very large US city too), to cut their own international deal particularly at a local level. Unlike even Chivas, the Xolos could actually directly impact their own local interest by branching out directly across the border in a way no other FMF team can. It's a risk to be sure, the branch out when no other team does it in the league, but the benefits are pretty apparent given their unique situation compared to the rest of the league.
Manana se ponen a la venta los boletos para el juego de ida en TJ. Creo se jugara el miercoles, pero a q horas????? Alguien sabe????
No time yet, but one website I visited said the game is Tuesday. I would assume Tuesday night at a typical start time.
Estadio Caliente does NOT have flood lights. Expect the match to be on Wednesday at 12noon Pacific Time.
CONCACAF will require floodlights for CONCACAF Champions League matches, which must be played at night to accomodate television. CONMEBOL also requires floodlights for Copa Libertadores matches. The FMF does not have a requirement for floodlights.

Just announced: Mexico - Liga de Ascenso - Final - 2nd Leg Saturday May 14 7:55pm ET - Irapuato vs Xolos de Tijuana - Azteca America
No. Azteca America TV Network has bought the U.S. TV rights. No need to watch an Internet stream. == In the San Francisco Bay Area, Azteca America is available free-to-air on Channel 20.4. Comcast Cable (Channel 196), DIRECTV (Channel 15), and DISH Network (Channel 15) all carry the channel. http://aztecaamericasf.com/
Tijuana, you have no excuses to let down. Destroy Irapuato on Saturday. You don't want to face these guys again for another two matches to get a ticket to the promised land. Finish them off. If you can beat my Galaxy in a penalty shootout, you can beat these Strawberry Lashers on aggregate without any problems. Go Xolos! Let's do this.
Nice article about the Xolos in the UT today. http://www.signonsandiego.com/news/2011/may/13/tijuana-rehabilitates-image-soccer-team/
