DK, look at this puppy, just look at him. His team needs a forum. Team Logo: http://i29.tinypic.com/nz2kpv.png
I support the creation of this sub-forum. I think it has a lot of potential for trafffic and I will contribute to that.
How about Santos, Tecos, Moreloa, San Luis, shit maybe even Queretaro. How much traffic is needed for each thread to deserve a forum?
Tijuana is in a unique location for cross-border support. San Diego doesn't have a great mass-transit system but it does have a pretty good North-South transit with the trolley system. Tijuana is the most-crossed international border in the world and is in reality equal partners with San Diego in the San Diego/Tijuana regional area. I have family on both sides of the border as do many of the posters on this board from San Diego. In addition, I will assist in the Moderation of the board. So, to answer your question, it is because it will be popular, IMO, with many members of this board with game attendance, supporters-groups, pre-game festivities, etc being organized via BigSoccer. Lots of potential with this team.
I might actually plan to see a Cementero game next year. TTM...do ya know how far into Tijuana the stadium is?
I've not been there yet but it looks like it is central Tijuana. Maybe 15 min from the border is my guess. Longer to get back of course.
They now play at a new stadium at the big Caliente on Aguascaliente, right? I only saw them play once a few years ago at some small stadium really close to the border.
May be the same stadium. They've been slowly expanding the small 13,000 seat stadium they started in. I think it's up to 33,000 seats.
I wanna go! And I need schedules in Inglés. http://www.stadiumpostcards.com/catalog/WSPE-446.jpg Hey - why no pictures in this forum?
www.xolos.us. Group set up to service the fans wishing to travel from the US side of the border. The ride is about 10 minutes on one of the buses. Coming back, the bus gets to go in a special lane so significantly decreases return time.
