WUSA Autograph Identification( Please Help)

I recently Purchased a San Diego Spirit t shirt with over 40 signatures on it. There are for autographs that have me totally stumped. The autographs are from 2001 -2003 and have players from all of the teams. I am not sure how to attach the photos.

Thanks, I went through my old WUSA media guides (2001-2003) and the Spirit guides and I'm still stumped. There was one autograph that just said Wendy #7. In the 2003 WUSA media guide player registry it doesn’t even list a player by the first name of Wendy that ever played for the WUSA. I did a goggle search and found a player that played for the Beat by the name of Wendy Dillinger,who now is coaching for Iowa State University. I sent her an email and she said that it was her. I found players numbers to be off. And have found some reserve players.

There is a Jennifer Farr who coaches or coached at Valdosta State...

My guess would be that you will not find them, they may have been done in preseason where the players did not make the team and did not appear in the guides.

Well if you put it that way, um no. In fact if you put it that way I start to wonder if I took any drugs yesterday...

I was just googling on it for twenty minutes or so because I sometimes can find stuff other people can't; and some combination of "Jennifer Far" or "Farr" and "soccer" and probably something else turned up an orphaned page (which I cannot find this morning of course) listing "members of the Valdosta staff." It was clearly not just soccer and not just women's teams, and belonged to have several other pages with it, but I couldn't find any other page or link from it to any other page. Had a photograph of a kind of dirty blonde with a bit of a jawline and smiling eyes on her who could have been anywhere from 25 to 45, didn't indicate what sport, but did refer to her as a coach, and said nothing about any playing career. It had a black background and white print I think...

It did not have a date-- and now that I think of it, is there a Valdosta High? Or JC? Or a Valdosta in another state? Because of course normally one sees "Valdosta" and thinks of your institution without thinking any further.

(I also found reference to a "Jennifer Tarr" who plays, but whose birthday was given and made her about 12 at the described time...)



On the subject of the rather unreadable signatures-- I wasn't within a thousand miles of any WUSA event of any sort; but knowing what I know about the history of other professional sports-- how likely is it that some of the signatures would be fakes?

The original post kind of suggests that this jersey was presented to a bunch of people for signing in a somewhat impromptu environment. Would there have been people who tried out for a day who still had eligibility that they wanted to protect and so gave a false name? Or people who were just picked up sandlot style to fill out a semi-scrimmage for purposes of evaluating a "real" player, and so left no record of ever having played enough to be googled?

Anyway, apologies if I have tried to saddle you responsibility for a coach who was never yours...

I'm thinking that picture "C" might be one of the Augustyniak twins.

Was there a third? Whose name started with "T?"

I can easily believe the surname there is "Augustin", but that "T" is pretty definite. I suppose if you dont finish your last name you might not put the hook on a "J" too, but...

I'm having a little success persuading myself that a. is Rhiannon Tanaka, now that I've had the name called to mind...

Then again, when I image-google "Augustyniak Autograph" and "Rhiannon Tanaka autograph" I get over these notions really quickly.

Nowhere close on either.

Is there a non-twin Augustyniak who doesn't write anything like her sisters?
