Fortunately, prostate cancer is one of the slowest-progressing forms.

Yeah, I'm hoping that's true but from bitter family experience I can tell you it is not always the case.

MLS Commissioner, Don Garber, also revealed he has prostate cancer yesterday.

You're correct. I should have said "typically".

Pat & Bob (among other legends) were in the squad, the year I became a Gooner...

Somehow I missed this news. But I'm not so sure it has to be so sad. For one reason or another I'm not too worried. Bob's a winner, a survivor and an overall great guy.

He retired the year I became a gooner so I didn't know much of his playing days. I know him best from the last 10 years or so of him being a spokesman for the club.

Anyway, given his history with us and the FA Cup... that first double year... it would be a great gift to raise the cup for him in 1 month's time. :D

It just dawned on me that Bob Wilson was conspicuously absent from the video footage of the post-match celebrations. Hope he's been well enough to come along for the ride. He's a fantastic guy.
