Yeah, I'm hoping that's true but from bitter family experience I can tell you it is not always the case. MLS Commissioner, Don Garber, also revealed he has prostate cancer yesterday.
The Gunners should have them both out there to accept the FA Cup when we win it for them!!! COYFn'G!!!
Pat & Bob (among other legends) were in the squad, the year I became a Gooner... And I'll be right by Bob's side forever... At Arsenal Stadium...
Somehow I missed this news. But I'm not so sure it has to be so sad. For one reason or another I'm not too worried. Bob's a winner, a survivor and an overall great guy. He retired the year I became a gooner so I didn't know much of his playing days. I know him best from the last 10 years or so of him being a spokesman for the club. Anyway, given his history with us and the FA Cup... that first double year... it would be a great gift to raise the cup for him in 1 month's time.
It just dawned on me that Bob Wilson was conspicuously absent from the video footage of the post-match celebrations. Hope he's been well enough to come along for the ride. He's a fantastic guy.
