Crzd dont pay attention to this a-hole. They just want to be your friends now that you said that you were going to invite me to the world cup.

Crzd, all these guys are always giving you a hard time here. I'm your o need and only friend here. Plus, being military and all, I guarantee your safety. I'm the obvious choice for you to take :)

Yup... Told her she was lucky Colombia isn't playing against Korea. I couldn't recover from that lost.

Took her to Cartagena, bogota, manizalez and Barranquilla 2 years ago. Loved it. Might visit again this summer after the WC especially if we win it. She wants to see her former roommate who lives in Cali. The World Cup is just too much money and time tho I know I will be kicking myself if I don't go and we win.

How much is it for those who are going from the US? I really want to take my dad but 15-20k for 2 weeks is better spent on a down payment for a apartment near Harvard or in Boston is $350-400k. Currently we pay 1,400 a month and have a friend living with us paying the same. Boston is crazy expensive.

$2,800 a month isn't a lot? I have cousins who live in Bogota and say they pay $1,500 and live like rock stars. My rent doesn't include anything !!!! I pay for electric, cable, insurance extra plus have to pay $150 for a parking spot. My gf and I are both trying to get a place that includes a space or 2 in the city. My place isn't even that nice just crack head prices if you want to live in a remotely decent location.

You need to take into account that the difference between paying in pesos and dollars is a lot. I also live in Bogota and pay the same as your cousins and I dont live like a rockstar.

my friend booked a room for 2 at about $200 to $250 per night. split 2 ways - it's comes down to $100 - $125 per night.

staying in the favela would be quite an experience though....hhahahah
