According to Luis Suarez's assistant, Jorge Jimenez, the starting 11 against El Salvador will be the starting 11 against Panama, minus Kervin Johnaon. So the line-up this Friday will be:

Some tactical changes could be made prior to the Panama qualifier:

K Pedazo de mierda k cago Honduras...

Honduras open their Qualifying with a 2-0 loss to Panama.. Both strikes from Blas Perez.

Luis Suarez open up your eyes and see you dumbass.. Alvarez, Chavez, Claros?!?! Why the f*ck would you start Mejia uptop with Costly.. Mejia isn't even the best striker in Olimpia omfg.

And if you knew defense was a problem, why didn't you move Maynor to the middle and Juan Carlos to the left. FFS Luis Suarez wtf are we paying you for.

Smells like an end of an era for both Costa Rica and Honduras...at least you guys get to face Canada and Cuba while we face Mexico twice and El Salvador away. Panama is the new king of C.A. and ES is capable of giving Costa Rica and Honduras a hard time anyday of the week home or away.

lol we just came off from beating ES 3-0 in DC.. Panama is the new force to reckon with, I can't argue that.

I don't think our era is gone yet.. It's just poor strategics tonight. He played with one forward, left out a lot of regular NT starters and had to open up with arguably the 3rd best team tonight whose hungry. This is a deep pool and its worrisome that we still haven't defined anyones position yet.

If we don't leave Toronto with atleast 1 point.. then I'll be very worried.

Maybe...but the level of play from both teams lately hasn't been like the usual Costa Rica and Honduras football. Both teams missed important players tonight but that just shows we don't have the same depth we did a few years ago while Panama and ES keep improving without making much noise.

So mad that we lost at home....not happy with Rueda as our coach but what can we do now...I just hope we correct the mistakes and go out and get some point outside of our home and win all of the home games left

Friendlies don't mean much they are just for experimenting which is what our coach did that game with both players and formation I am sure you guys did as well. Its not as if New Zealand should read to much into their win against you tonight showed more what the coaches have in mind for their teams.

So much wrong with tonight that I'm going to only make conclusions after the Canada game.

our media sure do love to embellish things.. from these highlights, Honduras was the better team, but as in any case the visiting team chose the correct times to come out and attack and when they did it was very effective. I saw one shot at target in the first half which was luckily saved by Noel.. could've been 1-0 if it wasnt for Noel's hand being there in the right time, while in the second half they shot at target three times... two of them Blas took advantage of with a wonder striker and a wide open header, while the PK was blocked and the rebound was also a lucky save..very lucky save from Noel and it could've well been 3-0. It shows our defense were asleep at times and were caught napping.

But in hindsight, Honduras dominated possession and had more chances at goal. Only problem was the definition was bad and Penedo was clutch. Both teams played well and losing to Panama, well yea it sucks, but you can't forget they're better and balanced overall. They have key figures on each dimension of the field.. Penedo in goal, Baloy in the back, Barahona in the mid, Blas and Tejada uptop and have a great coach who instills tactics and discipline.

Now to Toronto to snag some points. One will do, but would be great if we got all three. Hopefully Panama beats Canada at their home too.

Costa Rica was also better than ES and was even robbed of a goal from the linesman...but that doesn't mean it deserve's us a win. Away teams will most of the time defend, foul a lot, and counter to at least get a draw away. If we can't score on clear chances then that just means our forwards suck (Sabo,Costly, ect.).

I never said Costly was good.. I've BEEEEENNN said that our striker situation is horrendous.

If it was up to me.. I'd put Rommel Quioto up there with Juan Ramon Mejia.

    Halftime: Honduras 0-0 Canada

sloppy yet free flowing game to some extent..

David Suazo seems set to come on during half for most likely Anthony "El Choco" Lozano.

Gotta give a quick overview of the panama game in san pedro. Wow! What a great experience for a neutral fan. Too bad on the result.

    - amazing how early the fans get to the game, we went with a group in back of pickup truck, about 4 hours before kickoff and the stadium was packed when we go there.
    - parking lot is fun/crazy, salva vida had huge beer tent with dancers and djs, Quite fun.
    - thank goodness they sell beer inside stadium. The tension built very high for next few hours in the stands. Good food all about. Love the chaos, a million vendors walking around.
    - bought a round of turtle egg shots, which created quite a scene.
    - crowd during game was world class, but when they went down 2 goals the crowd completely turned on La H. In a way ive never seen before, It was jaw-dropping.
    - Last 10 minutes was barage of bottles being thrown at the bench, Oles on every panama pass, and whistles on every honduras possession.
    - after final whistle, the rained down trash on the honduras players going into the tunnel.

It made for a great experience, the fans deserved a better result and let their feelings be known.

Favorite part of the night, after being there for 6hours, was being able to buy a case of cold beer in the stadium and walk out into the parking lot for post game tailgating. Its lawlessness and chaos and very very awesome.

Honduras is known to be very passionate about its Seleccion, but to act on emotion one too many times.
