Phwoar! Blimey, this is a meaningless tournament. The NFL should withdraw from whatever governing body oversees this foolishness. Are we going to get 60% of the teams into the tournament? I don't care if it's a national team tournament- I still want 60% of the teams to be from the USA. If they're not, the whole thing is nothing more than a series of glorified friendlies that no one from the NFL or NCAA or, God save the Queen, even the NHSAA will take seriously. Our regular season schedule is far too you'll never walk alone congested for these silly experiments in bringing the rest of the world up to speed with the NFL in terms of quality...

Don't spend a lot of time discussing the merits (or lack thereof) of the World Club Championship, do you?

    It's sarcasm, man.

The USA is sending team full of D2, D3, NAIA players and they'll still win each game easily.

    OMG Mexico has a team...LMAO.

Half of the players on the roster are coming from Division II schools. It's kind of ridiculous how in american sports, none of our players take national team duty seriously. DON'T THEY KNOW IT'S AN HONOR TO PLAY FOR YOUR COUNTRY?

Germany is pretty advanced in american football. They will be bringing their big guns, no doubt. Germany is our FIRST game so it will be tough.

We will have a VERY rough time with this one.

We should have sent the Oakland Raiders for practice lol, 'cuz they need it the most!:D
    GO RAIDERS!

But in all seriousness. Our basketball team in the recent Olympics should point out our "cockyness" when it comes to playing sports that we are very well known for (like Baseball, "America's pastime," if it is then we shouldn't have tanked in the World Cup thingy last year). I think that if we get team players and no superstars, then we should do fine as the NFL teams are starting up again and as such they don't want their players getting injury's. I'm actually kinda looking forward to this to see how football is doing in other parts of the world(obviously very well in Germany).
I suspect that Germany is good as during the occupation we had a TON of football leagues all over the country and not to mention that they are built for it lol.

I wouldn't expect too much from Germany, they aren't even European champions. There were almost no Germans playing in the NFL Europe, and the German Football League is an amateur league with attendances in the hundreds for some of the teams.

I was flipping around the channels on sopcast last week and oddly enough came across what appeared to be an American football game from Poland.

I'll take the US over Japan in the final.

USA whips South Korea 77-0, scoring on a kickoff return, two punt returns, an interception return, a blocked punt, and a fumble recovery. They had two turnovers but scored on the rest of their possessions. Korea was limited to -31 yards of offense.

Sweden beat France 16-14. Is Swedish kicker Ola Kimrin the only player in this tournament with NFL regular-season game experience?

Those pesky turnovers and special teams blunders will kill you every time. I'm it would've been an even matchup without all those scores. Just 35-0. :p
