I didn't mean to imply that he was the savior of American soccer. I think it is important taht he supports youth development efforts and does so vocally. I didn't mean to give him any more credit than that.

Anybody watching the video on this one that can tell me how we look? I see Dempsey with a goal to put US up 1-0. Means Concacaf refs are going to have to get involved soon and I smell a Red Card to the US coming in the game, probably Jones.
Can the US have Chandler un-cap tied? Guy is just lazy and looks completely out of place against a jobber squad.
US looked to play zero pressure game in the first half. I hope they show a little more energy in the second. I know its hot and the field is sloppy but still.
US team looked like a bunch of guys who have had, like, two hours of practice together and have been sent out there in a hostile environment to play a qualifier. This isn't a team. Maybe it will become one someday but right now, particularly without Donovan, it's just a random bunch of guys. And Eddie Johnson is a useless wanker who almost cost Dempsey that goal. You'd bench a 12 year old with that little field awareness. He looked like he was marking Deuce or something. Chandler looks either tired or disinterested or intimidated or something. Just awful. Altidore a waste of space. Howard looked decent. Bradley OK, not great. Jones comes and goes but we need a lot more out of him.
I put that goal on Howard. Either come off your line or don't. But if you do, you have to get the ball.
I'm so tired of Jurgen. He brings in all these different players and the results are still the same and the team hasn't improved one bit.
The lineup from the start was set up to fail, why Jurgen things he's so above everyone with stuff like that is beyond me. Put out your best lineup every single match and stop over analyzing things.
