FIFA says that on their website. They state they will do the best to group the tickets together when 1 person buys multiple tickets. For instance, if a person buys 4, they will try to sit them in a row or 2 in the seats above the other 2. But they dont guarantee anything.
I'd just be f'n livid if my seats for buying in Category 1 were in the upper deck in the corner of the stadium.
I understand that you can't pick your seat due to high demand and the lottery system. For the most part I don't see how they can't place people together. The exception should be rare if you think about it. But yes, they are really sticking it to you by making that Cat 1 section so big. Personally I'd hate to watch a game at field level (first rows), even if it's on the sidelines, because it's tough to see the whole field.
My dad got shafted with this when he saw the semifinal of the Confeds in BH. Category 1 and he was thrown in the upper deck behind the goal. Ridiculous.
I have not done my applications yet. I plan to try to go to many games. 11 - F1xF2 / 19 - B1xB2 / 31 - H1xH3 / 50 - 1C x 2D / 58 - V53 x V54, all in Rio de Janeiro. Also I will try to buy tickets for the semifinal in Sao Paulo and the final, but I think both it's impossible, is like a lottery. I also plan to try buy ''Cisel - Argentina 7'', but it is very expensive and I do not know if I'm ''alone'' on this. Obviously I will not get it all, but I think I will watch some games at the stadium. And of course to try it all, I need to make 2 or more applications, and I'm seeing how I do it.
QUESTION: I noticed that wheelchair access has "low demand". So how the hell they gonna know if you are handicap or not. @Furnaccio or anyone - if you win the lottery for wheel chair access, do you need to show up with a wheel chair, or can you come with a cane? How about your guests, they do not need to be handicap right?
honestly, i dont know how to answer that one! i dont know of anyone who had those tickets last world cup just don't be that guy who jumps out of the wheel chair when a goal is scored!

Terrible scenes and pictures, my condolences to the family's of those workers and all....such a pity this has occurred....whos to blame I wonder? workers not following proper procedure? FIFA/government for undercutting the people and workers with good working equipment and low staffing? or I wonder if it was just a freak accident.
