Perhaps it's time for a new thread as the 2010 one has been hanging there on top of the Apparel & Training Gear forum threads list for quite a while now. Maybe this could spark at least a little more conversation here. To start, here's leaked pictures of Brazil's world cup home shirt: http://www.joe.ie/football/football...-is-pretty-predictable-but-still-pretty-nice/
Brian Straus just tweeted a few potential leaks, all coming from EleteTSC. Russia--https://twitter.com/BrianStraus/status/397924566762127360/photo/1 Spain--https://twitter.com/BrianStraus/status/397924707913056256/photo/1 Germany--https://twitter.com/BrianStraus/status/397924915052953600/photo/1 Japan--https://twitter.com/BrianStraus/status/397925142677827584/photo/1 EleteTSC had also earlier tweeted this shot, which appears to show Colombia, Spain (again) and a bit of Argentina. I'm assuming this was from the promotional photo shoot adidas will use--https://twitter.com/EleteTSC/status/388045737134534656/photo/1 And, apparently, the template for Nike goalkeeper jerseys--https://twitter.com/EleteTSC/status/390187677867192320/photo/1
If Mexico qualify to the world cup this will be their kit. Released ahead of time in fear of not qualifying to the playoff against NZ. We can only hope the away kit will be much better. Adidas has been very disappointing.. Whoever was in charge of designing this must have some nostalgia with the mighty morphin power rangers.
Yeah, when I first saw that Mexico kit last month, I initially assumed it was a training top. Once I saw them wear it in a game, I was hoping it was just Adidas trying to milk some money at the end of the cycle, in case Mexico didn't make it. I was hoping that they'd get something new next spring. Like you said, hopefully the away is much better, and perhaps a good 3rd jersey as well, so that this can be worn infrequently.
This just seems borderline blasphemous. The most iconic kits of all time are iconic precisely because of the beautiful contrast of colours: Italy, Germany, Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina, England, Spain, etc, etc.
All these FA's are at the whims of Kit suppliers. France all blue? Spain all red? Portugal all red? Why not have every team have an all black and an all white kit and just go to "Full Lazy" on their designs. Some are blaming FIFA, but in their regulations book there is nothing stating teams need to be one colour. Austrailia, and Brazil will still have contrasting kits.
OK, some good news (at least I thought so). Just got back from the Argentina-Bosnia Friendly tonight. Argentina were wearing their new kits, but they were wearing them with black shorts and socks, rather than the white as shown above. It looked a lot better, and hopefully means that some of the other mono color kits we've seen so far will also end up having the "proper" look when we end up seeing them. Or, at least hopefully this is a trend for Adidas clubs. Incidentally, Argentina were wearing their traditional stripes as a "color" jersey, and Bosnia were in all white. When I saw the stripes poking out from under their warm up jackets when they came out for the anthems, I assumed Bosnia would be in royal blue, but no. I am guessing it was a bit confusing for some in the upper deck. Also, hopefully now that they've qualified, Bosnia get a better supplier than Legea. Their kits look like a Sunday pub team--very generic, with a name and number font that seems comically large for soccer jerseys. While I usually like variety, I wouldn't mind it one of the bigger companies picked them up before the tournament.
Holland home & away: http://todosobrecamisetas.blogspot.co.il/2013/11/more-details-netherlands-nike-home-away.html
WTF?? What happened to holland's old logo? I always thought it was so cool. Damn those jerseys suck & Nike's holland jerseys never disappoint...
thought this was interesting. They are doing fan kits for the 2014 world cup http://www.soccer.com/product/?adidas-mexico-home-fan-adizero-kit-2014-17410679
Rumor is they're going with a retro badge to commemorate the 125th anniversary of the Dutch FA. Could be wrong though.
Meanwhile Adidas is trolling Mexico hard that line across the chest is so unnecessary. Can't believe that is what will represent mexico in the world cup next year. Disgrace
lots of jerseys on this site, Ghana and Cameroons are love or hate (i love them), i have always like Puma's African designs http://www.tsmplug.com/football/kits/world-cup-2014-shirts/
For what it's worth, there seems to be some confusion surrounding Ghana, because Kappa have announced that they are going to be Ghana's supplier (though the Ghanaian FA have not said anything). http://omgghana.com/kappa-reveal-plan-kit-ghana-2014-world-cup-boot-puma/
