Yeah it is pretty sad. Looking at this WC thus far, I actually don't think our current edition of the Chinese NT would fare too badly. I just hope we keep our momentum during after after the Asian Cup. It's going to be a long 4 years..
Slovenia-Algeria, and Cameroon-Japan put me to sleep.... to quote a guy, it was a tiresome display with balls kicked to nowhere and players dribbling into dead ends like lemmings. and what is bewildering is the fact that so many players appear so frustratingly inept ... countless misplaced passes? seriously poor shooting (Germany excepted) amateur defending of set pieces and ridiculous GK fumbling errors btw greece were completely crap, biggest failure so far. they didn't try to win till it was too late. but criminally, for a team known to be a defensive force under their german coach it is absolutely pathetic to allow such a soft 1st goal.... the kor guy was totally unmarked at the far post wtf
Yeah this WC has been hugely dissapointing so far. All the teams are overly cautious and even the powerhouses are playing somewhat defensive, maybe it´s cuz they don´t want to screw up in the premiere but still.... and those ********ing trumpets.....
As a fan of underdogs I would generally support DPRK (especially since they're our asian brothers), however I find it differcult to support a team where they're still allowing Kim Jong-il in power.
Against him yes, while I understand that there are many questionale leaders in the world right now they all at least have agendas, which we can all at least question. Kims only agenda seems to be living the high life while his people starve, and also to nuke South Korea.
I blame the result on Jong Tae-Se, that hyped up Zainichi Korean. He made some very poor touches and decisions in the 1st half. And then after the North Koreans scored in the 89th minute, he takes these two long range shots. He needs to relax. Also, did anyone else feel as if North Korea didn't want to tie, that scoring was enough? They scored and wasted time to celebrate and then played triangles in their own half.
I agree with the questionable decisions but he is a fine player... I'm guessing you were half-joking when blaming the result on Jong Tae-Se. I think N. Korea represented themselves more than adequately and definitely will shut some snobs up. To me they pushed after that goal... it was just a more patient buildup rather than giving the ball right back to the Brazilians so they can waste time. Its a long shot but I won't be surprised if they can squeeze out of this group.
Our BRAVE and determined ally NKOREA has done what we have failed so miserably in 2002. With little food in their stomach but courage and fighting spirit, they have scored a GREAT goal and blocked the fierce BRASIL. It may be a small LOSS but a GREAT spirit victory for the Korean peoples and East Asians as well.
Jong Tae-Se was the one crying during the national anthem. Since he's one of the "outsiders" on the team, maybe he was extra zealous. I think he was putting way too much pressure on himself and let the team down. In general the team was great . More creativity and better passing than China.
Yeah they scored a goal against mighty Brazil, but come on, the Brazil that played today was not the Brazil of '02. I think us hitting the post in 2002 against that Brazil team was probably more amazing considering the quality they had. Shoddy defensive lapses and lack of finish from the Brazilian side made the score closer today than it needed to be.
Exactly. Without all the NSR "mysteries" hyped up by the media, the NK team would be perceived exactly for what it really is, a crap team. Brazil was very tentative today and looked nothing like the mighty Brazil of 2002.
LOL. Did Chengbo hijack your account Xfactor? I'd much rather adopt Brazil. Speaking of the devil, where is he hiding? SK won, Japan won, NK lost. Three for three, as usual, Chengbo advocated for the wrong side of reality.
I didn´t think he let down the team, he did much more than he was expected to. I agree some touches and shots were bad but he did well to hold the ball and play target man, making some fine passes. Some shots i think he did the right thing actually, cuz the ball can be unpredictale in the air, and of the "surprise effect" when the GK doesn´t expect a shot, he just didn´t manage to get a good hit. Their team is great defensively, as we all know, but offensively there´s not much options for them, i was a little dissapointed on their fullbacks offensive, there were some moments where they had the chance to cross, but instead they hesitated and ended up losing the ball easily. If we would compare China to the North Korean team, i´d say Jung Dae Se and Hong Yong Jo are way ahead, but the rest of the positions we have better players.
i think the following professionals will blame the ball for being not professional: - greece national team - cristiano ronaldo - robert green - buffon - algerian goalkeeper - hugo lloris - and any teams that have crap results lately.
hey.... lay off cheng, he's my man frankly i seriously underestimated nk too, i thought brazil would kill them but their 9-0-1 formation held out for much longer than i thought. i like their organization and team spirit. like the yanks, they were never short of confidence. nt seriously need to get that sense of self-belief because mental fragility won't get you far when the chips are down, which is usually the case for china .
